The Basics of using EMO




This article summarizes the basics of the ecurrency EMO (www.emocorp.com).

Verification Levels
After signing up for a free EMO account, you will need to verify it in order for you to maximize the use of your EMO account. EMO’s verification levels are as follows:

Basic
– Print EMO’s up to 25,000.00, exchange e-currencies, fund an EMO stored value card, fund with cash deposits, and have multiple accounts.
– Submit a scanned copy of (1) Passport or Driver’s License or ID card; AND (2) Gas or Utility or Telephone or Electric Bill

Credit Card
– Basic level, plus: Fund your EMO account with a Visa / MasterCard credit card.
– Submit a scanned copy of (1) Passport or Driver’s License or ID card; AND (2) Gas or Utility or Telephone or Electric Bill; AND (3) Authorization Form – downloadable from the EMO site

Bank Account
– Basic level, plus: Conduct ACH bank transfers to and from your bank account(s) in the USA.
– Submit a scanned copy of (1) Passport or Driver’s License or ID card; AND (2) Gas or Utility or Telephone or Electric Bill; AND (3) Bank Statement or Processed Check

All
– Basic, Credit Card, and Banking features.
– Submit a scanned copy of (1) Passport or Driver’s License or ID card; AND (2) Gas or Utility or Telephone or Electric Bill; AND (3) Authorization Form; and (4) Bank Statement or Processed Check

Verification Procedure
Note that if submitting utility bills for verification, the bill should be less than 2 months old. The utility bill can be a Gas, Electricity, Internet Service, Television Service, Telephone or Water bill. Credit card bill or a bank statement is also accepted, as long as the name, address, company name, and other personal information listed in your EMO Profile matches those in your bills.

Currently, the estimated wait for EMO to process your documents is 8 to 10 business days, although many members are reporting their accounts are getting verified in 1-2 days. An email will be sent once verification is complete and your application status in the EMO site will change from “Pending Approval” to “Approved International.” EMO requests members to wait at least 10 business days after sending the documents before contacting them regarding the status of your verification documents.

Ecurrency Accounts Verification
To verify ecurrency accounts (egold, ebullion, etc.), login to your EMO account and go to “My Accounts > Related Accounts > Ecurrency Accounts > Add” and add your ecurrency account.

EMO will attempt to send your account a small amount of funds. You normally have to wait for some hours, usually 1-2 hours, after EMO has sent the ecurrency before you can get verified.

Once the Approval Status of that account has changed from “Pending Approval” to “Click here to get verified,” click that link and input the Batch/Transaction number of the e-currency transaction that EMO did.

Funding and Withdrawing from your EMO account

FUNDING OPTIONS
Depending on your Verification level, you can fund your EMO account via Cash, Check, Credit Card, Bank Wire, Bank Account, Egold or E-Bullion.

EMO offers automated transfers to and from e-gold and e-Bullion, through reputable exchangers. For more information, log-in and go to “My Account.” Look for e-currency accounts and click the Help link.

EMO to e-Currency Automated Exchange Fees* are:

EMO to e-Bullion: 3.00% ($5min)
EMO to e-gold: 4.00% ($5 min)

* Fees are based on the Gross amount of e-Currency transfered to and from EMO.
** Because of the dramatic increase of our cost to handle out-exchanges from Omnipay through the US banking system we had to temporarily increase the fee for e-gold deposits to 4%.

EMO Account Functions

SEND AN EMO
Used to transfer EMO funds to another person’s EMO account. Go to “SEND EMO” and fill in the details of payee. If the payee is already in your Payee List, you can search for that Payee or choose it from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, simply type in the payee details in the fields provided. You have the option to save that payee in your Payee List in that same page.

TRANSFER MONEY
Applicable only if you are transferring EMO funds between YOUR EMO accounts.

REMOVE MONEY
Used to transfer/withdraw your EMO funds to other payment processors. Go to “REMOVE EMO” and choose the EMO account you like to withdraw funds from. In the Withdraw Method field, choose from the drop-down menu whether you want to withdraw EMO to your Bank Account, Debit Card, Egold or E-Bullion.
