Paypal survey or phishing scam?

I received an email today inviting me to answer a Paypal survey. A Sony laptop is at stake once I finished the survey. The invite was sent by customersurvey@survey-take.com and it is supposedly administered on behalf of Paypal.

Of course, I’m wary about these types of emails since I’ve encountered a lot of phishing emails and Paypal scams in the past (another fake Paypal email and Paypal scam here).

I did a little investigation and discovered the email to be somewhat legit.

Update: Largest Banks in the Philippines (2009)

Banco de Oro (BDO) is now the largest bank in the Philippines, in terms of both assets and total deposits.

This is according to a report of comparative sizes of Philippine banks which I got from my bank.

Until 2007, Metrobank was the largest bank. As of December 31, 2008, however, Banco de Oro has overtaken Metrobank and has grabbed the title since.

Where to get PayPal EXPUSE Number?

Update: We have received reports that UnionBank has already disallowed the use of “8400” as EXPUSE Number. A few members have said that inputting an incorrect EXPUSE number several times canleads to a Limited PayPal account.

Be warned. Better contact UnionBank to get the EXPUSE number so as not to risk your account.

As of October 2007, the previous “Send-Only” PayPal Philippines accounts have been upgraded to “Send-Receive-Withdraw” status, meaning, PayPal users in the Philippines can now send, receive AND withdraw PayPal funds.

With this feature, can now directly withdraw Paypal funds to your bank account, credit card or debit card.
