Good Day @ arnel,

Queensland here!!!
I have been in Australia for nearly 2 years after I decided it's enough of the cold weather in the UK.
I worked there for 7 years. I'm delightful and very much contended here and there's no turning back. After 6 months.
immi approved my PR and a lot of them are asking how did I do it? It's easy...if you're a nurse. Some of them
waited for 2, some are 4. I don't know why? Anyhow back to topic...

Ano ba ang magandang business dito? Investment property? I was thinking of buying an investment property here
but I don't want to risk my mortgage. Still thinking though...

Good day sir oca1101uk!

I am based in the western side,,, that's good to hear that you're already PR and that amazes me how you did it,,, care to share sir? normally it's 2 years to 4 years waiting period,,, that would help lots of filipinos based in australia under 457 visa,,,

so far, wala po akong alam na investment venture na pwedeng pasukin sa oz, apartment rental and then be rented to fellow filipinos for additional income isnt possible,,, instead of placing a portion of my salary to savings account, i opened up a online saver account (under anz) --- similar to direct save up of st. george --- which has higher interest compared to a regular savings account,,, at least higher though di pa rin makakasapat with the rate of inflation keep on rising plus taxes pa,,,

sir oca1101uk, sent you a pm,,, cheers!

Alam ko nasa land down under si sir tops5450 at si mam lonely_planet.

Yun nga lang, malayo ang mga places of residence kaya mahirap mag EB.

@ arnel,

I'm sorry been busy for the last few days...alam mo naman na busy pag Australia Day daming celebration. I think they've change the immi rule again last July, correct me if I'm wrong buddy. I'm hospital base, I was sponsored to work here and they promised me after 6 months I can apply for my permanent visa as hospital sponsorship which i did a year ago. It was processed and approved after a week. Kaya sabi ko nga sa misis ko pag sineswerte nga naman because a lot of my friends waited for 6 months that's for processing only but some took only 3 days for approval weren't they lucky?
Policy changed last July, hindi na 6 months...not more than 18 months na and they're willing to sponsor you, which still better than waiting period of 2 to 4 years. I don't know if some engineering and manufacturing base company do sponsorship but i think they are because my brother in law works as Civil engineer in the UK. He's waiting for his visa, sabi nya by September daw ang labas.
As long as the company are willing to sponsor you to work and stay here whether your are nurse, engineer, doctor etc...you don't have to wait for 2 to 4 years. :thankyou:
Catch you later @ arnel

:welcome:@ mbd, ang alam ko company to same company yung inaapplyan nya. I don't know if it's true...kailangan daw ng IELTS for sponsorship of 457 visa. A lot of things have changed after July 2009, this sound silly kahit born and bread ka sa anumang English speaking background or country kailangan pa rin ang IELTS. UK Immigration and Border Security started it all, kaya ang Australia sumunod last year. :thankyou:

@ arnel

Why don't you try fixed term deposit? I'll make an enquiry later at suncorp bank. They are offering 5.4% on maturity for 3 months. They have 12 months to 60 months as well. Minimum investment of 5000 audollars. Try to visit some of the major banks website. I hope this will help.  :thankyou:
