hindi lang pala portal nila ang problema, pati atm, sus, eh hanggang ngayon nga withrawal ko sa paypal thru eon wala pa rin. sus!

last week ko pa planong mag-apply sa eon account ng unionbank, kasi magre-register din ako sa paypal, pero hanggang ngaun nauudlot kasi nakakatakot ung mga feedback nyo regarding eon cyber account...

ayun, i figured it out. yung pldt IP ko bulok.... i tried using a proxy (di nga lang makalogin) pero i could access the site naman. i din't even have to do any troubleshooting.

kaya pala the last few days nung palaging 'try again later' or 'under maintenance' yung eon at e-wallet login eh at least may access pa ako sa website nun, tapos biglang walang access sa whole site after that. yung bagong assigned IP ko palang nakuha yung di makalogin. hehe toink

also yung P10 fee after the 3rd withdrawal, is that reset monthly or not?

@creativemix - I'm of the impression na for every withdrawal after the 3rd time, may charge :(

Hay, I'm beginning to think that the Eon card isn't worth it. I've had it for two months and it still doesn't work. The customer support line doesn't work either. Meron na bang naka-contact sa kanila in the last week or so?

I was, however, able to contact the branch where I got my card. Like I mentioned in previous posts, I can't add the card to my PayPal and I can't withdraw my money from the ATM. The lady I spoke with was nice enough and asked me pertinent questions about my problems before explaining.

I don't know what your branch manager (or whoever entertained you when you got your card) told you but here's what I got:
- Upon getting the card, wait for its activation (forgot how long, mga 1 week ata?)
- Deposit money (if you haven't already)
- Withdraw the money or at least use the card in one transaction
- Change the PIN (DO NOT change the PIN before using the card)
- Enroll in online banking and wait for confirmation
- Add to your PayPal

Apparently, the card gets blocked for some reason if the old PIN was changed prior to being used for any transaction (but truthfully, I think this shouldn't be the case but who am I to argue with the bank employee who knows how their system works and I don't?). I was told that I need to request for a card replacement from the branch, which will take 1-2 weeks before I get it... and there's a replacement fee of P150  >:(

The lady says she'll check muna my online account before requesting for a replacement. I wonder if the unblocking thing the customer service will do works for ATM issues too? Sana ma-contact ko sila *sigh*

Hi saber_kite,

Here's the steps that I did for my eon card.

1. Applied for the card.
2. Got the card after they sent me an email informing me that it's already at the bank branch I want to apply to.
3. Went to the bank and paid P350 for the visa fee, signed some documents then deposited a small amount to the atm card.
4. Enrolled immediately at unionbank's online facility so that I could check my transactions online.
5. Waited several days before applying the card to my paypal account because at first it was rejected because it wasn't activated for use yet.
6. Called their support to ask for my expuse number then connected my eon card to my paypal account successfully.
7. Successfully withdrawn money from paypal to my eon account.

I haven't had any problems with my account yet (besides the downtime of the visa and unionbanks online facility) and hope I don't get any problems in the future when transferring funds.

^ I called Unionbank because I've been having trouble adding my account even though I did the stuff you did. I am stuck at #5 and have been for the last month or so. Hence the call to Unionbank and then I was told it was blocked because of... well, yung mahabong post ko ehehe :( I really hope I don't have to replace it kasi gastos nanaman.

it was blocked because you changed the pin? how did you change the pin? i think you can't change the pin via unionbank's online facility, only the transaction password can be changed.

I changed it via a Unionbank ATM.

That's what puzzles me. I know in most banks, they recommend that you change the default PIN to something else for security.

However, the lady from Unionbank (and this isn't customer support but somebody from the branch where I got my card) told me that I should've used the card first (either by withdrawing money or for an online transaction) before changing the PIN. Because I didn't, it got blocked that's why I couldn't add it to my PayPal or I couldn't withdraw the money. And I as mentioned, if it cannot be unblocked, I have to request a replacement, pay P150 and wait 1-2 weeks for it to arrive, plus a few more days for activation.

I plan to go to the bank tomorrow and talk to the branch manager.

i see.. hmm.. is it too hard for them to just unblock your account? i feel it's just wrong what they're telling you to open a new account and pay their fee again.

  • MPeralejo: Very bad management service. I purchase unit in the 18th floor with expected turn over on 4/2016 which was delayed until 2017. I was told that the balance has to be paid off before turn over in January 2017 and paid the balance in full 3/9/17 with request to expedite. The same with my mother in-law's unit at 15th floor which was paid 2 weeks before mine. Until now, they will not turn over the unit and can only provide excuses that the engineering dept. is working on it. My aunt who is our representative/interior designer only has till May 14th to stay in the Philippines to get the units ready for my vacation in Jun 1st but they are now telling me that the turn over will be May 22, 2017 plus 1 week. They have receive our money since 3/9 and my mother in-laws in February, yet they want more than 3 months to turn over. By then, i am out of representative/interior designer that I would have to hire another and not only that, my family and I will not have a place to stay on our vacation therefore, i would need to rent elsewhere. SMDC is not willing to cover my losses nor do they know the meaning of "EXPEDITE". This company is a scam! They want your money and not willing to deliver on time. Is the government not regulating this kind of SCAM! I would rather receive a full refund than deal with this company. Don't buy from SMDC. It will be a nightmare for you!
