Complete List of Richest Filipinos (2014)

The rich in the Philippines are getting richer — with the combined net worth of the 50 richest reaching $74 billion in 2014, up 12% from last year.

This is according to Forbes magazine, which annually releases the list of the “Philippines’ 50 Richest”.

Some may find this conclusion revolting, but the $74 billion combined net worth of the 50 wealthiest in the Philippines is already equivalent to a staggering 26% or one-fourth of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Indeed, the rich own the Philippines.

Henry Sy and family remain as the country’s richest, topping the list for seven consecutive years now. They retained the position primarily due to surging stock prices of their companies SM Prime Holdings (SMPH) and Banco de Oro (BDO).

Lucio Tan and family, meanwhile, are still the second richest, despite a sharp decline in the stock price of his conglomerate LT Group Inc. (LTG).

Rounding up the Top 5 are: Enrique Razon Jr. (Solaire Resort & Casino and International Container & Terminal Services); Andrew Tan (Alliance Global, Megaworld and Emperador) and John Gokongwei Jr. (JG Summit Holdings, Robinsons Retail Holdings and Cebu Pacific).

Below is the complete Top 50 Richest Filipinos as compiled and ranked by Forbes magazine.
