The Twitter TV show!
May 25, 2009
If everything goes as planned, Twitter — the 140-character microblogging service — will soon be on TV.
As reported by Yahoo:
[Twitter will] develop an unscripted series based on the site, which invites 140-character postings from members around the world.
The show would harness Twitter to put players on the trail of celebrities in an interactive, competitive format.
Twitter is a free social networking service that enables users to send and read other users’ updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to their followers or other users who have subscribed to them.
Unfortunately, no details yet have been announced as to the format of the show. The only thing we know is that it will have “ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format.”
Wouldn’t that create paparazzis out of Twitter fans?
Just hoping they don’t end up like the Hollywood celebrities in this funny YouTube video about Twitter.
