The PNB Trust Banking Group will soon launch a new equity fund called the PNB High Dividend Fund. It is the first and only equity UITF in the market today that seeks dividend income and capital appreciation at the same time by investing in listed companies that have high dividend yields and have an established history of paying dividends. The Fund will target investors who already have experience in equity investments and who have a specific preference for equities with high dividend yields.

The basic product features of the PNB High Dividend Fund are as follows:

Base Currency:   PHP
Arrangement:   Unit Investment Trust Fund (UITF)
Asset Class:   Equity
Investment Horizon:   5 Years
Investor Risk Profile:   Aggressive
Portfolio Mix:   100% Equities
Min. Initial Participation:   Php25,000
Min. Additional Participation:   Php10,000

Rationale of the Product:

1. A combination of a consistent dividend with an increasing stock price is  an attractive proposition to any investor;
2. Typically, dividend-paying companies are the strong, established and stable companies; They are less-risky and less volatile;
3. High dividend yields help cushion declines in the actual stock prices

For questions, particularly on the investment parameters of the fund, you may call PNB Trust Banking Group at the following numbers:  551-1741; 573-4587; 573-4574; 573-4597; 573-4653; 526-3670.

@axljackass:

Tingin ko hindi pwede. Nag open ako ng online account sa site ng pnb, pero wala kong nabasa dun na pwedeng mag online transaction sa UITF.

Pero take note na wala akong UITF account dun, so mas maganda tanungin mo yung customer service, or yung admin ng facebook page nila ( http://www.facebook.com/PnbHighDividendFund )

sorry for the late reply. Its inception to date ROI (i.e. 248 days) is 30.22%. Its YTD ROI as of Feb 18 is 11.36%. If i'm not mistaken, its one of the top 3 best performing funds today. It promises to be even better once companies declare their dividends, since this fund invests in companies that have high dividend yields.

Allied Banks's uitf was one of the top three earners in 2012 while PNB's was way below.
With the merger of PNB and Allied Bank i suppose AB's uitf will be shouldered by PNB. What do we, or should, expect from this merger?

Hi bors. PNB has not yet taken the porfolio management function of the abc funds but eventually, it will. For now, their equity funds have been performing rather exceptionally well. Here's something i found from the Piso Ni Juan website. Check it out.
