About Cold Stone Creamery

Cold Stone Creamery was established in the United States in 1988 by husband-and-wife Donald and Susan Sutherland. As huge ice cream fans, they traveled across the globe to learn different ways of making and serving their favorite dessert. Upon discovering that most ice creams are prepackaged and consequently having a chalk-like consistency, they decided to offer ice cream produced in-house, on the same day they were served to customers. Until today, the “freshness” of their ice cream is one of the main reasons behind Cold Stone’s success.

The Arizona-based Cold Stone is known for being the pioneer of customization in the ice cream industry. There are dozens of flavors to choose from, such as Chocolate, Coffee, Strawberry, Cake batter, French vanilla, and Sweet cream, among others. Occasionally, Cold Stone offers seasonal flavors like Candy Cane and Dark Chocolate Peppermint.

To top it off, customers can pick from a wide variety of mix-ins to enhance their ice cream experience. Available mix-ins include roasted almonds, banana slices, M&Ms, Oreo cookies, and many more. These are literally “mixed in” with the ice cream on a blazing cold granite stone from which the company got its name — Cold Stone Creamery.

The first Cold Stone store in the Philippines opened in May 2013 at the Serendra Mall in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
