Media channels and blogs are currently abuzz with the latest “Erap election scandal.”
Pictures and videos of former Pres. Joseph Estrada while voting during election day are circulating showing that Erap did not vote for his running mate (and now Vice President front runner) Jejomar Binay.

The controversial scene starts at 0:55. At 1:17, Erap’s ballot was again zoomed in and one can see that the Vice President position was not filled up.

Moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com deleted by Google

Up until last week, if you searched the hotly-coveted keywords “Make Money Online” in Google, you’ll see that one of the top-ranked results is the blog Moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com.

Now, if you go visit the site, you’ll see a Blogger.com’s announcement saying “The blog you were looking for was not found.”

It appears this top “make money online” blog has been deleted by Blogspot/Blogger, a blog platform owned by Google.

All OFWs are now exempted from paying documentary stamp taxes (DST) on remittances, travel tax, and airport fee as the new Migrant Workers Act or Republic Act 10022, recently lapsed into law without President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s signature.

Paypal survey or phishing scam?

I received an email today inviting me to answer a Paypal survey. A Sony laptop is at stake once I finished the survey. The invite was sent by customersurvey@survey-take.com and it is supposedly administered on behalf of Paypal.

Of course, I’m wary about these types of emails since I’ve encountered a lot of phishing emails and Paypal scams in the past (another fake Paypal email and Paypal scam here).

I did a little investigation and discovered the email to be somewhat legit.

Richest Man in the World 2010 - Carlos Slim Helu The richest person in the world this year is not anymore Bill Gates or Warren Buffet.

It is Mexican Carlos Slim Helu — the first man from a developing country to grab that top spot since Forbes Magazine started the list.

There are 1,011 billionaires in the 2010 Forbes list of The World’s Billionaires, with the US claiming 403, followed by China and Russia, both with 62. Germany has 53, India has 49, Hong Kong has 41, France has 37, Turkey has 28, Taiwan and Brazil both have 18 billionaires.

The Philippines has 2 — Henry Sy at #201 (US$4.2 billion) and Lucio Tan at #582 (US$1.7 billion).
