Media channels and blogs are currently abuzz with the latest “Erap election scandal.”
Pictures and videos of former Pres. Joseph Estrada while voting during election day are circulating showing that Erap did not vote for his running mate (and now Vice President front runner) Jejomar Binay.
Video: Erap did not vote for Jejomar Binay as VP?
The controversial scene starts at 0:55. At 1:17, Erap’s ballot was again zoomed in and one can see that the Vice President position was not filled up.
Did your Meralco bill increase?
Our electric bill tripled from P700 in March to P2,000 in April. Although there was a slight increase in usage from March to April, the increase should have not been that drastic.
Other PMT Forum members are also complaining of the unexpected rise in their Meralco bills.

Another scam Paypal email
We constantly post Paypal scam or phishing emails supposedly sent by trusted online brands (such as Paypal) in the hopes of warning people not to fall victims into these schemes. Here’s another one we received today.
This one is very similar to authentic Paypal messages on Account Review. Paypal usually sends such emails to Paypal users whose accounts are being reviewed due to certain transactions.
As opposed to the real Paypal message, though, the one below asks the recipient to download an attached file (check.html) and follow the steps there. The email message goes:
OFWs exempted from paying Travel Tax, Doc Stamps, Airport Fee
Good news to all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)!
All OFWs are now exempted from paying documentary stamp taxes (DST) on remittances, travel tax, and airport fee as the new Migrant Workers Act or Republic Act 10022, recently lapsed into law without President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s signature.
Paypal survey or phishing scam?
I received an email today inviting me to answer a Paypal survey. A Sony laptop is at stake once I finished the survey. The invite was sent by customersurvey@survey-take.com and it is supposedly administered on behalf of Paypal.
Of course, I’m wary about these types of emails since I’ve encountered a lot of phishing emails and Paypal scams in the past (another fake Paypal email and Paypal scam here).
I did a little investigation and discovered the email to be somewhat legit.
