Online tracking of Adsense checks sent via DHL

Despite the $24 processing fee, using Secured Express Delivery to receive Google Adsense checks appears to be a better option than the Standard Delivery payment.

Aside from a shorter waiting period — 1 week vs. Standard Delivery’s 2-3 weeks — with Secured Express Delivery, Adsense publishers are assured the check will arrive at their doorsteps. Especially in the Philippines where incidences of stolen Adsense checks are prevalent, site publishers should opt for checks to be sent via DHL, lest they want to risk not receiving their checks at all.

Recently, Google Adsense implemented another payment method via Western Union Quick Cash. But if this option is not offered in your country or if you still prefer to receive Secured Express Delivery checks via DHL, here is how you can track your Adsense checks real-time.

How to Track Google Adsense checks sent via DHL

  • 1. Login to your Google Adsense account.
  • 2. Go to My Account > Payment History then click the “details” link beside “Payment issued” corresponding to the check you requested that month. According to Google, tracking numbers for DHL will be available by the 5th of any month.
  • 3. Go to your local DHL site and input your “Tracking Number” in the “Track” section.
  • 4. You will be able to see real-time where your Google Adsense check is. Google sent me the check on September 27 and I received it on October 2, so all in all it took 5 days (including weekends) for the check to arrive.

  1. if the tracking number is not yet available, you can use the Payment Number in the Track by Shipper’s Reference option. see details on my previous blog post here. Using this option, you can track your payment from the time it was picked up until it was delivered at your address.
