Halloween just ended but sadly I wasn’t able to spot a Google Adsense unit that sported a Halloween theme.
For those not in the know, Adsense used to customize the color and design of their ads to suit a particular occasion. Previously, I saw Google Adsense ads with the Christmas theme right here on this blog. Recently, though, I haven’t seen any ad unit with a customized look.
An example of this special Halloween-themed Adsense ads seen in 2005 is the one with the pumpkin and ghost caricatures on each ad.
I know that Google Adsense publishers can activate this option when they create ad units but I logged on to my account just now but didn’t see this option. Probably Adsense already retired this?
Anyway, if you’ve seen a themed Google Adsense ad unit somewhere, let us know.
