For majority of non-Apple fanboys, Apple Inc.‘s much-hyped launch event yesterday (September 10 in the U.S.) did not really reveal a lot of exciting updates or surprising breakthroughs. It just pretty much confirmed the rumors that have been previously circulating.
Where to buy cheap Apple iPad 2
In the Philippines (and in other countries as well), Apple iPad 2 units are already out of stock. Go to various Apple Stores in the Philippines and all of them — yes, all of them — would tell you that right now, there are no more iPad 2 units that are available for sale. They’d usually say that new stocks are arriving in 2-3 weeks’ time but for over a month already, they have been saying the exact same thing.
I don’t want to wait anymore so I decided to go for the next best alternative: the computer and tech shops that sell Apple gadgets. They’re not really considered as “official” Apple Stores but they are duly-authorized as distributors so it’s still pretty much safe to buy from them.

Prices of Apple iPad in the Philippines
I’ve said it before: I want a touchscreen tablet PC for Christmas.
A few weeks ago, I was this close to buying an Apple iPad after comparing the three most popular touchscreen tablet PCs: the Apple iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the Toshiba Folio 100.
The Toshiba Folio is not in the Philippines yet so it’s out of the picture. I’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy Tab and, although it looks uber-cool and super-sleek, I don’t like it’s small display screen.

Where can you buy the cheapest official Apple iPad in Asia?
That’s what we also wanted to know. So what we did was compare the prices of the iPad offered in official Apple online stores in each country. In Asia Pacific, the iPad is being sold in Apple Online Stores in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.
Where to buy Apple iPad in the Philippines
What I want for Christmas is a touchscreen tablet PC. Right now, my options are narrowed down to the Apple iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Toshiba Folio 100. My major, major problem, though, is that neither of these products have been officially launched in the Philippines yet and it looks like they still won’t be released anytime soon.
However, unofficial versions are already available in the Philippine market, and this might be one’s chance to own these units prior to the official launch.
