Marikina City, Philippines — Provident Village is unfortunately now becoming famous for being one of the hardest-hit areas in Metro Manila by Typhoon Ondoy.

Wow, that’s terrible man, but….Tsunami in Indonesia is much worst than this storm. Tsunami causes many deaths and many destructions.

This is terrible. We were lucky that even though we were also badly hit by typhoon Ondoy, the catastrophe effect was not that worst compared to Provident Village. However, our village nowadays is still sumberged with floods reaching thigh level and the water is not subsiding!

I still get goosebumps when I see pictures of familiar houses, cars, and sidewalks that ended up like this. I just visited our house in Provident last night and the streets are still filled with a thick layer of mud. I can even smell the stench of decay and it’s not hard to find the bodies of animals that drowned during the flood.

Damn! That’s pretty bad. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are when disasters like this happen, but don’t affect us because they are so far away!
