Although Christmas Day didn’t turn out well for my online Adsense earnings, New Year’s Day wasn’t that bad because PayPal gifted me with a referral bonus of $80 on that day (see screenshot below).
You probably know by now that you can earn money using your PayPal account by referring new users to the online payment system PayPal.
When that new user has received a total of $200, you receive an initial bonus of $1.00. You also get 0.5% of the total amount of his payments up to $1,000 for the next 12 months. That’s up to $1,000 per referred person, so just imagine how much you can earn if you refer a lot of people to use Paypal.
Last year, we received a total of almost $300 referral commissions from Paypal:
- $30 bonus during March-April 2008
- $85 bonus in May 2008
- $182 bonus in August 2008

To get your referral ID, log in to your Paypal account and click the “Referrals” link at the bottom of the page. There you can find your referral link and banners.
