Adsense income down, hit by economic crunch?

James Ryan Jonas

Leo of MixPH.com emailed me last week asking if I am seeing a decline in Google Adsense earnings. He noted that his week’s income was considerably lower than the previous week.

Actually, I’ve been experiencing this downtrend for a couple of weeks now. Although the site’s page impressions and click-through rates (CTR) were relatively unchanged, my Adsense income during the past weeks was lower compared to the previous months.

Leo and I think this decreasing trend in online Adsense earnings may be caused by the economic crunch that hit the US and other countries. Because of the economic recession, companies are probably starting to reduce their online advertising budget which explains why our Adsense incomes have seen a reduction too.

Early this year, this site also saw a decline in Google earnings. Until now, I don’t know what caused it but the good thing is, it recovered after some months. Anyway I identified several factors that could have caused my Adsense income to go down in that article.

What about you? Are you also noticing a decline in your Google Adsense earnings?Leo and I think this decreasing trend in online Adsense earnings may be caused by the economic crunch that hit the US and other countries.
