Real estate developer Visa Land and Lifescapes (VLL), owned by the family of Senator Manny Villar, is using the same strategy employed by Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) to simultaneously raise fresh funds and market to the public its residential units.

What does “Buy, Sell, Hold” mean? Comparing Stockbroker and Analyst Ratings
When issuing stock recommendations, brokers and analysts may use the same terminologies but may differ in the meaning of the recommendations.
For example, a “Buy” rating — as opposed to “Strong Buy” — may mean that the stock is “projected to increase in value in a longer-term duration”, while “Strong Buy” may mean that the stock will “appreciate in value in the next 12 months”.
BPI Housing Loan – special rates promo
I’m currently browsing the web and talking to various bank managers to get more information necessary to update our 2011 article on Housing Loan interest rates in the Philippines. I want to come up with a comprehensive list of interest rates for housing loans in the Philippines for the year 2012.
Since I don’t have the complete information yet, I’ll just post what I got from each individual bank regarding their housing loan offerings. I was recently informed by a branch manager of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) that they are offering low interest rates in celebration of the bank’s 161st anniversary. Here are the details.
PSE to delist 27 firms if 10% Public Float rule not met
At least twenty-seven (27) publicly-listed firms, including San Miguel Brewery (SMB), Eton Properties Inc. (Eton), and First Metro Investment Corporation (FMIC), are facing possible trading suspension by next year, if they are unable to comply with the minimum public ownership requirement set by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
