BPI Express Phone: All circuits are busy now

Early this morning, I got locked out of my Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Trading account after I incorrectly entered my password three times. Apparently, I had forgotten that I changed my password a few days ago.

Around 10 in the morning, I called BPI’s Customer Phone Support at 89-100 or 891-0000 to help me reset my password. What greeted me was the pre-recorded message, “Sorry, all circuits are busy now. Please try again later.”

Ok, fine, I’ll try again in 10 minutes.

Ring, ring! “Sorry, all circuits are busy now. Please try again later.”

Thirty minutes later: “Sorry, all circuits are busy now. Please try again later.”

Hmm…

Before 12 noon, I think I made more than 10 calls to BPI and yet none of my calls got through. I tried three other phone lines to check if the problem was on my side but not even one of my calls got connected.

This afternoon, around 3:30, I telephoned them again but all I heard was the same message.

“Sorry, all circuits are busy now. Please try again later.”

Try again when exactly? @#$%^&!!

That’s odd. I’ve never experienced this with BPI. I even tried right now (3:57PM) and I got through. A temporarily glitch?

Actually, I never experienced this before. It’s only now that my call won’t get through.

@sherwin, I tried again a few minutes ago (three times!) and I still got the “Sorry” message.

Probably a location issue? I’m in QC.

This has always been a problem with BPI’s customer service line. Never has there been a chance that my call gets through the first time.

I thought I am alone in experiencing such service from BPI. I always experience that. If I can’t connect to their site online, I call them and they still seem to be ‘offline’. They should improve on their services.

I had the same experience when I was following up my BPI Express Direct Savings account application. I actually had second thoughts about opening an account, turn-off talaga.

Update: I tried calling them again today, from 10:30 until 11 in the morning. I made around ten calls, not even one got through. Tsk, tsk…

not only with BPI, but also with all other banks.
there oughta be a law requiring them to make sure that their hotlines work

    Hey guys,

If you encountered issues like this it could be that their CO or telco provider is having a problem and not BPI.
