What are Unit Investment Trust Funds?

Unit Investment Trust Funds or UITF are collective investment options typically offered by banks in the Philippines. UITFs may be a good investment option for investors who do not have the time or expertise to do the investing themselves, because professional fund managers hired by the bank or trust companies are the ones in charge of making investment decisions.

UITFs are very similar to Mutual Funds, but they still differ in some regard. If you’re interested to learn more about UITF, Mutual Funds, and other pooled investment schemes, refer to our handy guide below for an easy-to-read tutorial.
