LEAKED: Photos of Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and other rumors
Leaked images of the supposedly genuine Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone are becoming viral online and, if the photos are to be believed, Samsung will indeed ditch the physical Home button and the phone will sport an almost bezel-free display.
Yesterday, photos entitled “Samsung Galaxy S8 Leaked Live Image” was posted on Twitter by VenyaGeskin1.
The photos purportedly show the Galaxy S8 powered on and, just like the ongoing rumors, with an almost all-glass front display, and the Home, Back, and Next buttons gone and moved on-screen.
The phone still has curved glass edges, originally seen in the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Another batch of leaked photos, this time supposedly coming from a Chinese manufacturer of screen protectors, were also uploaded to Twitter on Tuesday.
The leaker, nicknamed “Ice Universe”, posted photos of the rumored Galaxy S8 in various angles.
Similar to the other leaks, the photos show an almost all-glass display, curved glass edges, and no physical buttons.
The 3.5 mm headphone jack seems to have been retained in the Galaxy S8. The back of the phone was not shown in the leaked photos, preventing anyone from confirming if a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone is true.
Another leaked image portrays the Samsung Galaxy S8 side-by-side with the Galaxy S8 Plus. The Galaxy S8 Plus has a bigger display screen at 6.2″ versus the Galaxy S8’s 5.8″ screen size.
The screen also shows an “Always On” display.
Both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are expected to use Android 7.0 OS and the latest Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S8 phones are rumored to sport dual rear cameras of up to 16 megapixels.
Here are additional photos of the purported Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, plus sample marketing creatives, all leaked and uploaded to Twitter.
