So far most of the discussions and goals in this forum is all about earning their first 1 or 2 million.. but then have you asked yourself what you intend to do with your life after you have reached your first million?

will you life a hermit life staying at home, with no more social interaction with your past co-workers?

i figure out that having money does not make a person happy.. one should be well balanced to, with good social life, one should have good physical health too, as well as spiritual life..

now ask yourself.. after you have earned your first million? what's next?

ako, when i've already earned my first  1 and 2 million, i'll....

continue till I earn my 3rd, and 4th, and 5th, and 6th.....hehehe

Pero seriously, maliit na talaga ngayon ang 1-2 million.  There's so little one can do with this amount if you would really like to enjoy a leisure type of living.

Ako, one of my dreams pag nakuha ko na yung "millions" is to be able to contribute to a foundation that would help feed and support children.  Ang hirap hirap kasing makita yung mga bata either sa kalye o kung saan saan na nanlilimos, walang makain, ang dungis dungis.  Children should not have to live like that.  Dapat mabigyan sila ng fighting chance to live how they want to live.  Hindi nila fault na mapadpad sila sa ganung buhay.   :D

^ pero siguro dapat unahin mo munang unahin yung welfare ng kids mo greenhh.. remember that what you are giving to charity could be  your (future) children's money too...

although the giving to charity already satisfies your spiritual and social need..

rather than giving to charity, put up a business na lang and employ the parents of these kids..

no matter how much you give if they themselves don't want to help themselves there is not much you can do.. parang tinapon mo lang pera mo..

walang taong mahirap.. tamad lang , iresponsable, at walang disiplina..

When I first earned my first million, I realized 1M is still a small amount, I couldn't even buy my first car because all of it would be gone in an instant. I earned 2 million and I still want more(I still have no car until now, I'd rather invest it in business). I'm realizing now, even if I get 10 million, it is still not huge enough. For me huge amount is 30 million plus. You can just put even half in time deposit and you can live with it already without having to work.

Way to go, mejofer! The bigger you dream, the bigger you get...but eventually, you'll start to think that P30M is still not enough. Such is the nature of man...we need to challenge ourselves more at each level of success we make. So good luck!  You are luckier than most already.

OT:>>> You are right, ekimonk, Confucius say: "Give man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he eats a lifetime."

Feeding programs are great for it fills the children of one meal, but how about after a few hours when it's dinner time?  May feeding program pa ba? :)

It would be best to arrest the root of the problem which is income for the parents or parent.

After earning my first million or 2, I will still continue to strive to earn more or make my money grow as fast as it can so i can reach a point wherein I can say...."ok, this is fine for me now, I will be comfortable and well provided for my old age."

Thanks a lot richpulubi!

Humans don't seem to get satisfaction regarding money. The bigger they earn, the bigger their dreams become. It just never ends.

When I get to 30M point(I really hope), I hope that all my worries about money will be gone. Then I can do all the things I love.

Probably at that point I'll start thinking how to earn my first billion so I can buy that jet or building I want without running out of cash hahaha.

You know bro, I get to the point where I ask my self after earning this much or even imagining being as rich as bill gate, why do I even exist?

I realized, we are here to enjoy our lives. What will make me happy is to have a family in the future, see my children grow up, put them in a nice school, travel the world, f*ck a lot of girls, see how proud my mother is of me. These are the things that give me pleasure. But before these, I have to work for it and contribute to this place.

I'm not scared of death anymore, I know after I achieve the money I want that is it. I'll just wait to die, but before that I'll have to enjoy my stint on this place first. We are here for a purpose. I envy those physicist who are trying to discover how the universe works and why we exist. Someday, when I have enough money, I can explore and learn about our existence without worrying about the time I'm wasting.

Once we've worked enough and contributed on this place, we'll enjoy the fruit of everything we worked for in the future.

Working and doing business boil down to us not having to work and just enjoying our lives in the future.

@mejofer; You are really a guy and I think, believe, very young and wild.  Life is how we live it.  How we perceive it.  Earning a lot of money doesn't necessarily mean you will be problem-free and happy.  Look at the rich, they have greater problems than us ordinary people.

On the other hand, having money also allows you to enjoy the good things in life.  Allows you freedom and less pressure.  What I meant is that a man with money can have the leisure of time to study options in front of him, he can walk tall and he can enjoy the pleasures of life that may be deemed expensive for others.  He can take time to sit back and consider things.

An example is richpulubi, look at the way he does things.

We have different missions on earth, but, mejofer, f*cking a lot of girls is not one of them.  You might just end up on the losing streak and not enjoying life after all.  Baka maka-AIDS ka pa! How will you enjoy life now with all your money?

^ mejofer is now a slave for money.. mejofer why do you need lots of money to be able to f*ck lots of girls? panget ka ba?  or just a pathetic loser, which is why you settle for lowly prostitutes?  :applause: :D

see what happens when you have lots of money.. you fall prey for vices.. your life loses directions.. you lose your goals.. you lose discipline.. you lose track of time, you don't value your health, your friends, your family anymore..

i have a friend who's marriage went sour after their business earned lots of money.. sabi nga nya mas mabuti pa daw nung simple lang buhay nila ok sila.. nung nagkapera sila nagkaron ng bisyo ang asawa nya..

I agree w/ 1st and 2nd paragraphs and somehow w/ 4th one.Regarding f*cking girls. One of my goals is to f*ck girls of different races before I leave this place hahaha. I just can't leave this one hahaha. Sorry for people who felt offended, I'm just being honest.

@ekimok
Whats with the personal attacks ekimok? No wonder you can't find your happiness, utak talangka ka kasi.

I just see life differently than some of you guys. I wouldn't explain farther. I probably shouldn't have posted that here. Some of you guys won't be able to relate to what I'm saying.

@ekimok.. I'm above average looking by the way wahahaha snagot nga. I pretty sure I'm better looking than you are bwahahaha.

At your age you still don't know what you are living for. No wonder you are asking this question. And you are calling me pathetic? ;)

Well, as the saying goes, money is like sex...you only think of it when you don't have enough. As to money, the billionare who publishes Maxim said that it can improve your sex life. Money is power. Power is an aphrodisiac. The more money you have, the more people would like to have sex with you.

As to your wanting to have sex with a girl of every race, trust me, most of them smell funny(Filipinos, it turns out, have obssessively better hygiene than most other races). Also, if your main impressions are from TV, trust me, in real life, they don't look that great.

My suggestion, find a beautiful, horny girlfriend who really loves you and you really love, and just stay indoors...

As for death, everyone has to prepare for it...but not embrace the inevitable. Oh, FYI, speaking of death and money, we bought a plot in Heritage around about January at P240K, it's now at  P330K...

As to having a role in this life...once you have a family, then you shall have it.

@richpulubi

Someday I would want to have a family of my own too. I wouldn't marry just because of sex, but because I love the woman. This is When I'm all financially settled. Seeing kids grow up is more than having sex. Its a better feeling, its like watching yourself grow up. Guide them to the person you'll like them to be in the future. I have a little brother and Im experiencing this now, thats why I know having kids will be a lot of pleasure for me.

Regarding not having much sex. You are right. Sometimes you need to sacrifice some things in your life to get to your goal. Earning to live is my main focus as of now. When I'm all financially secured, I'll be ready for everything else(Family, travel, learning new things, sex etc).

Having sex with different races has nothing to do with my impressions from TV. I just want to experience the best pleasures in life the best way possible. I have a very different view of life than most. Right now, I just want to experience life as the creator wants us to experience it. I'll be out of reality(What we percieve life is) if I don't.

Regarding role in Life. I'm glad you have one.

I forgot to ask, have you tried it already? If so, I'd like to experience it too. I can't just believe someone's words. I need to try it myself. And I don't believe lahat bad hygiene sila wahahaha, hindi puede wahahaha. J/k w/ you sir.

By the way I think we should stop this discussion and get back to the topic. Malayo layo na rin nararating nitong usapan natin hahaha. Baka maging masamang example pa ako sa ibang tao dito wahahaha.

Good luck to all.  :watchuthink:

It may seem that people have different needs, and goals that motivate them to work. But humans are more alike than we think we are. We are driven by the same universal needs. The difference is the roads that we take to satisfy them which is determined by one's culture, values and norms. So don't even think that you are far different from others. We all need sex. hehe. :D

Which makes me remember one famous psychologist - Abraham Maslow - who is known for his theory of motivation. Through his studies of normal people, he realized that we are all driven by the same needs. And even ranked these needs in hierarchy - in a pyramid - being the one at the base be satisfied first before the higher needs.

According to him, man will never be fully satisfied. As one need is gratified, another higher need arises. Man's nature that enables him to evolve into his full potential.

Maslow's Hierarchy of needs developed by Maslow - for our reflection.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs

P.S. Baka di sagutin ni richpulubi ang question, mabibisto sya. hehe :D

very good share, sir diamond. that should give everybody a good reference of where we are, and where we ought to be.

on topic pa ba? anyway, for me, keep on investing or probably run a business to further stabilize my family's future, and then some more to help my less capable relatives. if life rewards me more, i'd like to help charities in a really big way. something really life changing. man, no orgasm is gonna beat that.

Be mild with the mild, shrewd with the crafty, confiding to the honest, rough to the ruffian, and a thunderbolt to the liar. But in all this, never be unmindful of your own dignity. - John Brown

... travel the world, f*ck a lot of girls, see how my mother is proud of me...

I'm not scared of death anymore, I know after I achieve the money I want that is it. I'll just wait to die, but before that I'll have to enjoy my stint on this place first. We are here for a purpose...

Living the rock star lifestyle, eh? "Live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse"?

I think you're in too much of a hurry to become filthy rich. Enjoy the ride, my friend. Consider being able to fornicate with the united colors of Benetton as fringe benefits and not as life's goals. Like what richpulubi has said, you're luckier than most already and with what you have, you can readily enjoy a comfortable, eventful life. I think all that "emo" stuff about finding out our life's purpose is way overrated. Deep down we all know why we're here but a lot of us may find it just not as grand as we wish it to be. Blame it on Hollywood.

But if you really want to learn more about your existence, don't wait for that 30 million (which by the way will not be enough if you get into little "accidents" with your united colors of Benetton... if you catch my drift :)). You don't need that much for that purpose.  But then again if you think it's a waste of time now, why wouldn't it be a waste of time when you have your 30 million?

Keep a level head, plan your finances well, enjoy life and yes, keep your mom proud! :)

my 30 million cents.  :D

"Different Folks Different Strokes"

Your goal is your own personal goal which no one can say it's wrong or it's right.  I am not offended, mejofer, just entertained and a bit concerned lang.

Life is as you make them.  I just wish you the best and hope you will be happy and see your dreams come true.  Remember though, not to tread on others' foot on your way up.  If you do, remember to apologize sincerely and when you're on top, remember where you came from.  Remember those who helped you sincerely along the way.  Above all, do remember to say "THANK YOU!!!"

Again, mejofer, I wish you all the best and Good Luck, Bro!

Is it wrong to have sex? Is it wrong to have sex as a goal? It depends on the person. I don't think so.

Ey, lighten up. I didn't say having sex is wrong. I just think it's so high-school to have it as a life's goal in conjunction to your attainable dreams of earning beyond your 1st and 2nd million (o yan I'm in topic!). But that's me, mejofer. Please don't get offended. We have about 5 years age difference and we definitely have different world views. Give me news after your 10 years time frame and tell me if nothing's changed.

Tama si mr. Fortuner888, different strokes for different folks. But we definitely go through the same thing as far as our libidos are concerned (yes, i'm talking about sex). Being able to put "God", "orgasm", "drugs" and "sex" in the same paragraph doesn't make you different from the rest of us. ;-)

Peace!

my 2 cents worth (ubos na cents ko from last time).

I can't believe I got offended by your reply. I just read it again, there is nothing offensive in it :(.

Medyo kulang sa tulog for 2 days ako eh, I blame it in antok wahahaha.

Sensya na talaga. Back to topic.. sex topic.

(Misread it last time)
Btw regarding Life's purpose and sex. Its something about how I view life, take it as it is. Won't explain further.  :)

@richpulubi
I don't boast about it actually. Kakahiya, parang yabang dating sa labas. Pag nasa labas ako, ang ginagawa ko bili ako ng Juice, di ko pahalata. Sabihin ko kasama ko busog ako. My family knows about. I don't talk about the reason why I don't eat them. They don't know.

Whites look old to me in person. But not all of them, some still look young, but somehow still look old. Regarding smell, probably just happens. Probably they thought why take a bath or shower when I'm not meeting Brad Pitt hhahaha J/k sir lol.

Agree with the rest!

ekimonk, I gather that you're in the IT business, and for me, business is war. And to prepare for war, you must choose your weapons carefully, prudently, and efficiently. So, if purchasing the laptop(your weapon) will help you wup the crap out of your competition, then by all means, get it!

Kailangan mo bang maiinggit kung mas maliit ang pera mo sa akin o you aren't as intelligent? Why did I ask? Kasi I don't think I ever said naiingit ka, so why feel the need to tell me you are rich and smart? Self-esteem + Ego problem :)

Btw I don't remember starting anything with you? Why mock me personally you don't even know me and my beliefs?

Quite frustrating to talk to people who can't relate to you. I remember when my sister asked me about nothingness. Could anything exist from it? I was very young and didn't know what she was on about, so I ignored the question.

Lets get back to topic please. :)

I believe our goal should not be a magic figure, whether 1 million or 30 million, that after reaching this figure, we can retire comfortable.

We should strive to provide a comfortable life for our family, a good education and a better future for our children and enough savings for a comfortable retirement. If God has seen fit to bless us with a million or 30, we use it wisely and help people along the way.

OT: hey, i'm looking around for a notebook too. ano pong brand na tinitingnan mo? i have HP or acer in my shortlist. adding 5-10k should be fine coz PC lifetime naman is about 3 years e. get a core 2 duo (sta. rosa) no less. :cool2:

I guess the itinerary of life is like this:
0.Birth
1.Study
2.Get a job
3.Party after work
4.Marry your love
5.Buy a house
6.Have kids
7.Pay the kids education
8.Save for retirement
9.Retire from work
10.Wait for death

I think may be I can put no.8 before no.3 so that I have a better chance that I won't end life miserably.  My first million is for retirement.  It's small now but 30 years of compounding can do a lot. After my first million, I'll do numbers 3 to 7 +other personally interesting activities. :D

hmmm..as i'd earned my first mill, you will find out that 1m isn't enough but a catalyst for greater greed and ambition( why? Kasi with more money comes more things that are accessible to you, more opportunities to even scale that wealth more, more sophistication on your tastes) . but it also makes a positive dent on your love ones kasi starting at 1m and more you will be more inspired to help them and be generous(in a logical way that is).but you need din your love ones to put to the ground or else that 1st mill will get in your head too much.

besides the point, making your 1st bundle is uber nice especially when young pero as everything life is , it depends on how that bundle affect you.

I also believe there more to life than earning money.

There is a zen saying that goes: For every challenge, a novice can see many solutions. But for a master, every challenge has but few solutions.

Segurista and I share some thing in common because we are of the same age...and that is, we are running out of time. You guys may have set aside a million, and yet be in your early thirties. We on the other hand have a net worth worthy of someone our age. And, after the age of forty, we can take less risks, cuz we have less time to recuperate. The options open to us are many, relative to our being able to afford them. But time is not a luxury we have. So, time-wise, we are less wealthy.

So, you young guys enjoy your strength and longevity...take the risks that will make your lives more fulfilling! Be alive! Find your purpose! Be free to be all you can be!

It was Teddy Roosevelt who said:Pity the timid, for they don't know victory nor defeat.

When you earned your first million it's easier to earn your 2nd, 3rd and so on...
For me, I earned my first million when I am 23 years old. 6 years later,  I have P4 million pesos in investible funds. In the next 3 years, around P7 million pesos. It's just a numbers game. But it's only the first million that it's difficult to earn!

After earning your 1st million... you then strive for your 1st 10 million and so on. Take it as far as you can go.

Once you reach a goal that gives you a secure life satisfaction will bring peace of mind and contentment in life.

As for those who never cease to yearn more and more material wealth and fame, they will always end up unhappy, stressed out, burdened, and full of worries in their unquenchable thirst for it..........always competing always fighting always trying to outsmart someone never at peace......

1 or 2 million is really small.  pambili lang ng bahay ubos na ang 2M mo.  kaylangan ko pa ng another million pang-college ng mga bata.  and another million pang-retirement namin... and another miliion or 2 pamana sa kids.. hehehe

so after earning my 1st million, i'd need to earn my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc...

Ang tao talaga walang contentment and satisfaction same with me. If you reach a certain goal, you will strive for higher. and after that, higher pa..and higher.......

Life is a cycle...from birth to death..all the same..it seems my kulang..

Share ln..Temporal things cannot satisfy us.Eccl 3:11-He has made everything beautiful in its own time; also He has put eternity in their heart, yet so that man does not find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Only Eternal things can fulfill what our hearts need..Kaya do not be enslaved by money..were just using it in this world, di natin madadala..

@@Wala pa ko sa 1 million short goal ko.. :D

People don't stop from there...

Kung ako din nman tatanungin mo...

Life is a never ending battle!

Wether you are rich or poor...

It will only stop until you go down 6 feet down under... :rakenrol:

When we are young we defined success and happiness in money terms, when we are older and wiser, we defined success as how we are living our lives  ---------  GIG

Why stop when you can make more not just for yourself but for your family and a cause worth supporting. Become a billionaire and be a force for good like Bill Gates.

^ +100 what he said

Accumulating wealth, no matter how large is not bad. Being selfish is.

It's not how much money you have, but how you accumulate and use it that can make it bad.

Well kahit ano naman yan mo meron pa ring mas mayaman sayo hehe...At the end of the day nasa kung paano mo naman inenjoy ang buhay mo billionaire ka nga nakawheelchair ka naman at stroke tulad ni henry sy di bale na buti pa meron kang couple of millions tapos enjoying life pabeach beach, patravel travel, pafarm farm, padabarkads dabarkads, pasundot sundot  :hihi:

After the 1st or 2nd million, whats next?

Do you already have:
1. Suitable retirement savings
2. Medical Insurance
3. Educational fund for all of your children till they graduate
4. Should you lose your capacity to earn, do you have sufficient funds to keep you and your family alive?
5. Do you have a suitable House to live in
6. If you are still not married, or do not have a significant other, there's a lot of expense there waiting for you.

There are so many things, In other words, just keep on doing what you were doing to get the elusive Million.

Life does not stop once you get to your target figure. Its not a race. Its a journey.

In as much as Life can create that million, it also has the ability to reduce that into a few centavos.
