Split from the Paypal Philippines can now accept payments thread.



My Paypal PH account just got limited access. They are requesting for billing statement, passport, driver's license and national identity card.

I was trying to send a test amount on xoom, kasi medyo malabo yung mga sagot nila kung allowed ang transfer to own xoom account from own paypal account. ....so sinubukan ko. The amount is within limits ng paypal and xoom (should not be problem). Tapos lumitaw na lang sa final page ng Xoom na "you can't send money from a limited account"....

Thereafter, I checked my paypal account only to find out that I got limited... now they are requesting all these documents so they can lift the 'limited status" and return to regular standing.

Medyo madami ang required docs, and im a tad worried about supplying everything.

What do you guys think. I have a significant amount there since Paypal PH have started accepting funds.

My account status before all this transpired: Verified for over a year (via EON) - Premier Acccount. Pero bago lang naka-accept ng funds, never tried sending before too.

2slick, I read your post on the other thread. Did you try to do the same thing with xoom -- and got the transfer successfully? I don't understand why the outcome is different with my situation -- worse, my account got limited.

Having a limited account is  one of the bad things that goes with using PayPal. Nagra-random check kasi ang PayPal at nagpa-flag ng accounts na sa tingin nila ay may "unusual" activity.

@inv99, question lang, were you able to confirm kung na-limit yung PayPal mo bago ka mag-withdraw sa Xoom o pagkatapos ng transaction? Sa Xoom di ba, para maka-transfer ka mula sa PayPal account, ire-redirect ka sa PayPal account mo. Were you able to login? Were you able to process the transfer pero, as you stated, ang final page na lumabas ay "You can't send money with a limited account"?

Can you also check your "Resolution Center" or the PayPal email telling you your account was limited? What reason was mentioned there?

Hi FG,

I believe  my account got limited during the xoom process - when I'm almost about to conclude the transfer. Perhaps, paypal sees it  as something new - that the transaction was never done before on that account hence i was limited. I'm not sure really, but its very likely that it propagated from the transfer. The transfer did not materialized because my account is now limited. My account was fine (non limited) before I tried xoom. I checked a few minutes before I initiated the transfer.

On the resolution center - it says:

Your credit card issuer notified us that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card. For more information about the problem with your card, please contact your credit card issuer directly.

I'm not sure if its eon itself. Does it mean I should have the same withdraw amount as my EON card balance or does Paypal automatically deducts this from the online paypal balance rather than the EON card balance. I still don't get it because some people don't seem to experience this -- where I have the same status as them. My EON is in good standing, i just did a few transactions last month off that card.

Or perhaps, the account is new and all this verification process are normal?

It's a random thing. Swertehan, kumbaga, na ikaw yung matyempuhan. My PayPal account was limited three times during the past year, two of those cases because I used Xoom to withdraw funds. What happened was, PayPal limited my account right after the Xoom transaction was completed. So while I was waiting for my Xoom withdrawal, I was busy working on lifting the limit on my PayPal account. (Got my Xoom funds after 1-2 days but it took PayPal 1-2 weeks to lift the limit.)

Lifting the limit on the account is easy, unless you faked some of the info in your PayPal profile or you don't have the proper documents that PayPal is asking. Just compile those documents then fax them together with the Fax Cover Sheet (mahal nga lang kasi sa US mo yun ipa-fax). 

Reagrding your transaction, inv99, did you attempt to withdraw ALL of your PayPal balance? Did you take into consideration the fees Xoom may be charging?

My guess is that the total transaction amount (including Xoom's fees) was more than your PayPal balance so PayPal attempted to get the remaining from your EON account. EON probably does not allow this, so the transaction got declined, then PayPal decided to put a limit on your account.

Hi FG, thanks for some enlightenment.

I did not withdraw all my balance, just a fraction of my total balance. I think I'm still within limits and I have the remaining balance to cover the fees. (what is the sending limit of paypal per day for a premium account?)

One challenge I have is they are requesting bank statement of the visa card number (which is UB's EON). That statement needs to have the name, the full home address, the visa card number to match the paypal. EON is only an online account, and the internal account number/id on EON site is different than the card visa number.

As far as I know, there's no Sending limit for a Premiere PayPal account.

You can ask UnionBank to furnish you with a copy of the EON account's printed bank statement. They have that, you might just need to pay a small fee to get the statement.

Check if the statement contains the EON Visa card number. If it's there, then no prob. If not, I suggest you take a screenshot of your online account that shows both your EON account number and the card number.

Now, through the screenshot, you'll be able to show PayPal that the card number is attached to your EON account number. With the bank statement, you'll be able to show that you are the actual owner of that EON account.

That should be enough for PayPal to lift the limit on your account.

nakakanerbyos naman to. Tanong ko lang FG, pano kung wala kang utility bill in your name? Halimbawa utility bills namin eh sa nanay ko nakapangalan. Anong gagawin?Pwede bang yung utility bills ng magulang, halimbawa, tapos may kasamang birth certificate, ganun?

I just got back from UnionBank, they won't be able to furnish printed statements. They said EON is an online based account and that I can check the statements online. And that the recorded statements can only be obtained at the main office.

I will have to do what's available now. Take a screenshot of my online account - hopefully it is something admissible to Paypal.

I don't trust Xoom with regard to Paypal...

Here's a tip, wait for something that's coming very soon that will solve all these problems. ;)

And nope, you won't need Xoom or EON.

Hi Biske, iniscan ko yung eon debit card (back and front), nandoon yung account ID at visa card number. Hopefully makita nila yung match from the sceenshot, to the details in the card which contains the account ID and visa card number.

I just submitted all the required documents today.
