If in a community one would put a water refilling station... the next day near neighbors would put up the same business. This isnt really a good news. We pinoys should help each other not compete with each other.

Quote
There was a commercial who used the quote "Walang ganyan sa states"  i forgot the commercial but may pinoys are like that. Ones they reach America they keep bragging and comparing... Yes its true that America is Better country than of ours but if pinoy stays here in our country and help develop it... we surely could be at higher level now.

little do we realize that countries like the US earn a lot of money from those who want to immigrate and get a US visa..or those who even want to get a tourist visa to the US, look at the long line of visa applicants in the US embassy.. yet almost like 90% get rejected..each of those in line pay more than 100 dollars ..

for immigration, a lot of immigration lawyers also earn a lot from those who want to immigrate.. so who gets rich?
-----------
why can't the Filipinos just make our country better so that we could earn from other nationalities..  we have all the OFW's who have the skills.. if only these OFW's would apply everything that they have learned abroad.. the Phillippines would be a superpower in asia..  its ironic, we have all the skills, the education, the ability to speak well in english, the natural resources, yet other countries make use of all of these..

another thing why we are poor..

we don't love our CULTURE.. almost every filipino likes to become an american, canadian, australian, even korean after watching koreanovelas..

there is no way a race like the Filipinos will ever prosper if we don't protect and love our culture..

there was even a forwarded mail before that says that Filipinos are the only race which does not have its own culture..we don't seem to have anything we could proudly say is ours..  it hurts but its true..

Can we blame our history? Who taught us to be "us"?

"we don't seem to have anything we could proudly say is ours.. "
Hahaha.. true. Pag nanalo si ganyan, nanalo si ganito, sasabihin nila "Pinoy yan". Pero nasan sila? Most of them dont live here sa Pinas.

hindi din naman ma-blame yung mga tao to go out of the country to seek employment abroad. may mga family yang dapat buhayin at suportahan at kahit masakit man na iwanan sila we cant do anything about it because the salary in our country is not enough to even have a decent living for our family... basic needs pa lang kapos na kapos pa din talaga. kung maayos ba naman lahat sa country natin ... bakit ba kme lalabas at itataya yung mga buhay at dignity namin outside our country? syempre mas masarap manirahan sa sariling lugar natin... sana kung maayos lang lahat.

aba'y mula dito sa pinas na may bahay at lupa, to an immigrant who is buried in debt and no house of their own..  is that what you call improvement?

^^dont generalize kse po hindi naman lahat ng case eh kagaya ng situation na sinabi mo. kung ganun ang nangyari then it's really a pity for them. merong iba dyan na mag-abroad ngayon para makapag-ipon talaga at kapag nag-retire na syempre pinas pa din ang pipiliin over any other country in world

Yes we also need competition but not exaggerated like of those water refilling stations which are almost seen in every corner of Manila. I did not say that there should only be one water refilling station here in the Philippines and too much competition is not healthy to our country. It will not boost the economy either.

i agree with you jarlaxle, katulad na lang nung girl na sumali sa american idol (forgot her name e...) na nag-record pa ng song, sasabihin nyang proud siya for being pinoy e hindi nga siya marunong mag-tagalog e, kelan lang naman siya natuto ng konti dito.

I agree. So those people who patronize Pinoy products and of course those who are proud of our country i salute you.

@ Len - i think you were pertaining to Jasmin Trias. But at least she admitted that she is half Pinoy unlike some who really conceal their nationality.

^that's what most pinoys do here in dubai. kahit malayo sa country natin, the things we usually buy and the food we used to eat ay coming from pinas. madami tayong exported products dito like mga de latang sardines, argentina, CDO, purefoods, pampanga's best, mga chichirya like chippy, nova, boy bawang etc etc. sabi nga nila if ur in dubai, hindi mo gaanong ma-miss ang pinas kse makakabili ka ng mga products at makakakain ka ng mga foods na galing sa atin which is true naman. isnt that helping our country ~ patronizing our own aside from the billions of dollars being remitted by the OFWs?

i just dont know kung merong ganyan sa other countries.

I agree with anna and businessmaker na dapat ay may competition pero sana healthy competition ang nangyayari, pero hindi.
Ex. Si Pedro nagtayo ng internet cafe P50/hour. Nakita ni Juan na kumikita pala ang ganong business, so nag put up din siya pero P40/hr lang. So nawalan ng customers si Pedro.
Nakita rin ni Kulas ang opportunity so put up din siya at P30/hr and so on hanggang sa  P10/hr na lang. At P10/hr, halos napupunta na lang sa operating expenses ang kita, so lahat sila hanggang doon na lang, either mag close shop or stay on na  lang kesa wala.

Tsk! tsk! tsk!

Which is wrong.

I agree with Jin...
