Duterte Urges Catholics To Stop Going To Church!

It caught my attention on this headline news that Duterte is urging Catholics to stop going to church and instead just pray at home.....is the reason is just to stop church contribution???

Duterte is thinking na church contributions ay corruption. Although hindi naman compulsary na mag-contribute ang mga tao (Catholics) during the mass offering, its just voluntary unlike from other religious sects na obligatory na magbigay sila sa church nila.


So dapat di lang Catholics ang mention niya kungdi pati ang ibang religious sects. Remember the headlines before sa kaguluhan or issues of corruption ng isang religious sect sa pinas.


I'm not a devoted Catholic at agree ako sa point niya na sa bahay na lang magdasal instead of going to church.

We are living in the twenty first century. Everyone should have the freedom to perform their religion in the best possible way. I don't know the background of this but you can't stop or urge anyone from their religion and beliefs. What do you think guys?

I think the best way to resolve this is by resigning to the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If someone thinks you should stop going to church, that's his or her own opinion. Its up to you as an individual to decide on what you want to do with your life as far as religion is concerned

Complaining that Duterte is urging Catholics to stop going to church is being petty. Anyone can urge you to do anything, but as an individiual, you are solely responsible for every single decision you take. If you don't want to go to church, or if you want to go to church, its all up to you. Some people go to church but there is no difference in their lives, so whether they go or not, I dont care
