as for me I will just keep my sunlife and my fami. better na yon na naka diversify

Nakita ko din ang return ng fami, lagi nga siya sa top performer, pero try to see kung ano ang fund portfolio nila, mostly kasi sa Sunlife ay bluechips stocks and hindi 100% ng fund ay nakalagay lahat.. Conservative talaga ang Sun Life pagdating sa pag invest, may point yung nagsabi sa iyo na hindi lang high returns ang sukatan na magaling na ang fund managers or yung mf company, kundi kung paano din pag bagsak ang market, and pwede din po reason is mas malaki ang minamanaged na funds ni SunLife kaysa ibang MF companies..


I agree with your first statement, a fund can have higher returns
but took more risk to get those returns.

That's why there's something called a Sharpe ratio(ata) that
attempts to measure this.

But you completely just glossed over my reply and implied
that FAMI has bigger returns but took on more risks and that's
why it has better returns.

I said that FAMI held itself better than Sunlife during the 2008
crisis though.

To verify I checked pifa.com.ph.
Quicken tells me the lowest point for PSEi was in 11/21/2008

pifa.com says
Ave 3 years
FAMI +7.71%
Sunlife +1.09%

Ave 1 year
FAMI -31.58%
Sunlife -38.84%

Year to Date
FAMI -33.27%
Sunlife 39.93%

So, basically while Sunlife was being more conservative,
it actually lost more compared to FAMI.
That to me means, the guy at the helm is just a lot better
or maybe luckier than the guy in Sunlife.

You also have a point there on your 2nd statement.
Sunlife Equity is a lot bigger than FAMI's equity and its a lot
more difficult to steer.

But FAMI definitely is better than Sunlife when it comes
to performance.
Now if they just get rid of the sales load I'd be willing to
turn a blind eye to the bulok infrastructure and after sales support. lol

Sa AXA, bakit "Financial Advisor" ang tawag sa yo? How can you give "sound financial advise" sa client mo na mas financially stable(mas mapera) pa kesa sa iyo? it should be the other way around di ba? You should use "Insurance Agent" and not "Financial Advisor" kasi misleading eh...

Being "mapera" doesn't mean that you no longer need an advise. Does it mean that you will not listen to insurance agents knowing that he is less stable financially?

the question is why would you call yourself "Financial Advisor" instead of Insurance Agent? Whats wrong with being an "agent"??  giving financial advise is different from selling an insurance product di ba?

hehehe..naku meron na naman ako na-offend... ang dalawang business entity kapag nag merge or joint-venture ibig sabihin nun ay mag-share ng resources (e.g. office, personnel etc.) .. in short para makatipid.. ano ba ang dahilan kaya nagtitipid? di ba kasi nalulugi?? ask yourself, tinaasan ba ng Sunlife ang sweldo mo? sigurado hindi..nagbabawas pa nga ng tao eh...

di naman ako naoffend, may mali lang kasi sa nasagap mo na tsismis, sana inalam mo muna kung itoy totoo or hindi..

punta ka sa main office nyo and ask your Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and ask him the purpose of a joint-venture... I advise you to look for a different career...later in life you will thank me...

There's nothing wrong being an agent. Financial advisors are still agents who give better financial advice but are not pushing their products to clients.

I do not push AXA's products. I just wanted to share what I've learned to those who needed it the most. I just wanted to help, that's it! So better not be closed-minded and generalize immediately without any concrete evidences. Instead, let us help each other for the betterment of everyone.

1) If you (ikaw) have extra cash today, say 1Million pesos..will you put everything in AXA products? kasi kung maganda talaga yan , you will not hesitate betting your 1M di ba?

2) Kung meron ka client na bumili ng AXA products 5 years ago, i-access mo sa computer mo sa branch, kung sakaling ibebenta ay magkano na yung investment nya TODAY.. you will be surprised na after 5 years ay bagsak yung investment nya...
