Do You Experience This in Claiming Adsense Earnings at Western Union?

The Western Union branch that I went to today to claim my earnings won't release the money because I couldn't tell what country the transfer originated from? This is the first time it happens to me. In all my previous Adsense payment I only indicated Google. When they asked, I told them US. But today they won't release the money simply because I couldn't tell the correct country. Not only that, I must complete the company name of Google. So, I needed to resolve two issues before they would release my Adsense payment - country and complete company name of Google.

Do you also encounter this problem?

i did not encounter this kind of issue, have you tried to a different western union branch ?

Additionally there was a recent change in adsense policy, i believe you received in your gmail. Check your mail and read the new policy.
adsense account based in asia is now under in google asia branch.

Below is part of the new policy. If I'm not mistaken Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd is based in Singapore.

In order to provide you with better regional support for your payment issues, your contract entity will be Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Please note that this change will not affect your payments.

What I did was to call WU hotline. I talked to a call center agent and I demanded that they talk to their agent to release my money. I kept on telling them that it's not person to person transfer. Then they let me talk to a supervisor and I kind of lecture him about the quixotic way they imposed of getting unnecessary details. Finally he said that he will give me the county of origin and the full company name which he did - for country, its Ireland; for co name, its Google Ireland Ltd.

I've learned something from that experience. First, I can win the situation even over the phone if I talked to an officer of the company. But I must know what I'll be talking about. They could have ignored me right on that very moment. Second, from now on in any transaction I will train myself to get even the smallest details that I would think unnecessary.

Hi, why not print Google official receipt from payment history? I do the same in all cashout... no need to ask.
