How do you want to make money today?

In all honesty, where HAVE you earned more, UITF's or individual stocks?

Buying and selling individual stocks, seems so exciting compared to boring, regular buying of uitf (which I've been doing for so long).  I know only the basics of FA, and are absolutely lost with TA!

For those who have tried both for quite some time, which has become more profitable?  Honestly?

Me, I'm negative in some uitf's and positive in others. I've been especially disappointed with my Odyssey funds...though only a minor part of my portfolio.  But I have very little experience in individual stocks.

If you are new and much conservative.. People will choose UITF, VUL or even Mutual Funds..

I have all those.. Definitely it is stocks.

In stocks you can have your money quadruple, triple or even double. While in those managed funds.. Most likely you are going to perform close to the performance of PSEi. A little bit higher or lower.

GO STOCKS!!!  :yoohoo:

I only started investing May of last year so I can't really consider myself experienced. But here's the performance of the very little funds I have invested:

Philequity Fund:11.31% (one-time placement) (planning to add more shares pag nagkapera)
BDO Peso Balanced Fund: (thru EIP): -5% although I redeemed once
Stocks: -6%

It's still hard to gauge since iba iba approach ko sa three baskets ko.

Trust the experts.. A lot here.. They are still on stocks  :hihi:

But I understand, I started sa VUL at UITF, then Mutual Funds.. All positive.. But Stocks I gain more, and trading experience na din.

Just choose the company you wish to invest in.  :hihi:

Ma realize niyo, by investing in UITF, you are planning or saving for a new iphone, ipad, laptop, etc. But in stocks, you build wealth.

You know, with all due respect to the experts here, but I've been in PMT for so so long, I haven't met anyone who got rich primarily with the stock market.  I hope someone would be kind enough to share what they get with stock trading annually...including their losses!

Ako, mga 15% per annum lang with UITF, conservatively.  Pero, I do have other investments that do not correlate with our markets para kung magka-plunge dito, ok pa ang port ko!

BUT I rely on business for my wealth, and investing only to preserve it.

I agree with you sir, that is why I am still in business and want to pursue new ventures.. Stock Market investment just gives me additional income.

Anyway.. Someone could be wealthy in stocks if (Let say he invested as much as 1 million pesos) Let say he bet the right one. Still remember AP way back from 6php? Or even during when MER was still 10php? MER is now 270php.. If you have hold MER shares way back more than10 years ago til now.. You already had 27 million pesos. And 5 million pesos for AP shares.

I'd really like to meet someone with such foresight, tapos I'll ask for tips!  I have yet to meet someone who would hold stocks  more than five years, and not be tempted to sell pagtumaas na.

In less than 15 years of trading, I do earn from stocks at an average of 20%pa. net of losses. But I always tried to avoid giving tips, it's not a healthy practice.

Is that compounded annual rate? If its a YES, WOW!

Sa mga bagito at kulang pa ang kaalaman sa history ng stock market, 18% above compounded annual rate of return done consistently for more than a decade is a very very good record!

kung full time ka na sstocks trading dapat lang na mag net ka 20% p.a. pero kung may full time work ka or business mag uitf ka na lang or mutual funds  :rakenrol:

Wow, fantastic and inspiring!  And so, you would have OCTUPLED your initial capital(given that you didn't add) in 15 years!

Is that only local equities?
