Saan ba okay na investments where I could leave my money ngayon na may compound interest monthly or yearly? I'm planning to leave it there for a minimum of 15 years. As far as I know, Mutual Funds, UITF, and stocks doesn't do compound interest so kung mag invest ako dyan and after 15 years same amount pa rin yung NAV value ganon pa rin yung pera ko diba?

Please advice saan okay ilagay yung pang invest.

MF UITF dont have compound interest since they do not offer fixed interest rate, however the navps/navpu might increase after sometime, you may also try to take a look at index funds and ETF(upcoming), these funds track the index(e.g. PSEI, top 30 companies in terms of market cap and a few other criteria), if you bought a share today at x price, after a year it can gain y%, then after a year another y%, after 2 years you will have x(y%)(y%), somewhat similar to compound interest but it is not fixed and sometimes funds end up negative yield for a year.but these funds offer a greater return than leaving it in the bank. For me, the best vehicle if you have 15 years is buying individual stocks but that may require some of your time to analyse and monitor.

If compound interest talaga hanap mo, halos bank products lang talaga ang choices mo - savings accounts, time deposits, hybrid savings-time deposit accounts.

AFPSLAI, if you're qualified, can give better interest than commercial banks. If you know of a legitimate, and well-run (with good history) cooperative, they can also give better returns.

You may to decide if you want safety of capital or great returns. Because stocks - especially over 15 years - can really give superior returns compared to even high-interest deposit products.

If after 15 years bagsak ang stock market...what will happen to your stock investments?

^ Your stock investment may lose in value in PAPER ONLY and for a certain period during a general market decline.  But the number of shares that you purchase remains the SAME.

In any investment, there are risks and rewards, an investor needs to constantly do his/her own homework in order to protect and grow the savings.

Tulad sa isang bahay, kung doon mo itatago ang iyong ipon, pwede rin ito mawala kapag ang bahay mo ay nasunog or napagnakawan.

Everything has a risk! Its your assignment to minimize that risk.

thats why there are many investment vehicle there, parang sasakyan, gusto mo ba sumakay sa motor, car, jeep, bus, truck, eroplano, barko. bahala ka,

just determine san ka hiyang, yung parang aggressive, moderate,  o non-aggressive ka,

depende sau kung san ka makakatulog. minimize the risk by researching on your own what fits your behaviour

possible na yung stock mo eh bumaba o tumaas, pede ding magsara na yung company at madelist anything is possible, bat 1 thing is for sure, your same amount of money after 15 years will surely go down in terms of value if you stay in cash

some stocks have dividends. If your stock is like that then dumadami ang number of stocks mo over time

yes, its possible that after 15 years bumagsak ang market so back to same level ang NAVPS but that's the risk you take, otherwise kakainin ng 3-4% inflation ang pera mo.

Ang pinaka mataas na time deposit ngayon is like 1.25%
http://philippines.deposits.org/

ang pinaka mataas na 5 year MF perf is 25%
http://www.pinoymoneytalk.com/mutual-funds-philippines-performance-3rd-quarter-2013/

if malas ka and bumagsak ang market 15 years from now, usually you only need to wait a year or two (same thing happened in 2008 and is happening now) bago tumaas uli. If you can't wait an extra year or two because you are retiring then choose a lower risk mutual fund like bond funds. The best bond fund 5 year perf is like 11%

Markets continue to change and hindi po natin masisigurado ano mangyayari in the future.

You have to realize that the current advance in the global stock markets (particularly US) ay artificially supported ng stimulus/QE infinity.

Therefore, one should not expect that history would continue to repeat itself kung saan ilang taon lang ang bawat 'dips' sa stock prices. Hindi kayang gawin ng US at ng global central banks ang ganyang kalokohan (stimulus packages) ng habang buhay.

ganun po ba, dapat pala alamin ng mabuti yung status ng banko na nilalagyan mo ng pera ng ganitong offer...

Yeah.. Sa totoo lang pretty worried ako sa ginagawa ng US now.. When will the bomb explode? We don't know.. But it is going to happen.

Kung yan naman ang magsisilbing hadlang sa iyo to take risk.. Well walang mangyayari kung patutulugin mo din pera mo sa mga time deposit.

magandang advice na ang bond fund. Or if you want go to the banks and directly ask for ROP bonds, you can invest directly also if you want. And earn the corresponding interest rates annually.

(Republic of The Philippines bond) ROP
