Provided you have the capital for a Jollibee or Chowking, what is your chance to get one?  May palakasan ba?  I read kasi in an inactive thread here na meron daw..

Kung magfrafranchise kayo at less than 2million budget niyo eh wag na lang.

Brunos Barbers = 2million plus
Mini Stop = 10 million plus

May binebenta ngayon 2 SUBWAY stores already in operation for more than 5 years, ang may ari maraming gasolinahan at ang gusto magfocus sa gasolinahan.

2 SUBWAY restaurant for the price of 5 million package (hindi ibebenta pag isa lang kukunin)
1 SUBWAY resto is in Quezon Ave. inside Crossing mall
1 SUbWAY resto is in Ortigas at Podium mall

Suki ako sa q.ave Crossing Mall branch kaya alam ko sales nila ranging from 18 to 20k a day, saksi ako na malakas sila. Yung sa podium ang hindi ko pa nakita.
Kukunin ko sana kaso may pending project ako sayang, sa tingin ko lang nakakaNet ang q.ave branch nila ng 80 to 100k.

Pagnagfranchise ka ng isang SUBWAY probably it will cost you around 4M.

the food business seems to be a popular choice for many, since it guarantees repeat-customers

but you must always consider if it's aligned with your passion :-)

Hi.

I do not agree. (Based on my own experience).

I have franchises. You can check the other threads. Not more than 2 million for each franchise but the returns are good.

And sir, if a store has an average daily sale of 20k, the net income wouldnt reach 80-100k.

One of my stalls (operated by only 3 people) has a gross daily sales of 21-25k. The opex of a regular foodcart is WAY cheaper than Subway (it requires more space, more people, probably has royalty, etc) and the profit margin for foodcarts range from 25-70%. For big companies, the margin ranges from 6-8%.

So a 20k gross sale for me means a net (less cost of goods sold palang, not including staff and whatnot yet) of 6000/day.

For Subway, a 20k/day gross would probably be a net of 2000.

For the threadstarter, just pm me if you want to know more. I just want to share my knowledge, not advertise. :)

Wow, congrats! At least may 5M ka na available, kahit hindi mo kinuha.

Although I disagree with needing 2M for a franchise. Sure, "buechips" like Jollibee and McDonald's would cost around 20M or more. But as long as a franchise is profitable, or is well-suited to the demographic around you, it can still be a worthwhile investment.

Of course, in your case a profitable potato corner or belgian waffles franchise (both below 500K) might not produce enough profits to make it worth your time. But it could still be an ok option for some. My only concern is a Php2M entry point might be too restrictive.

back to the topic though... try http://www.pfa.org.ph/ it's got a list of legitimate franchises, as well as what your total initial investment might be. (in case you are new to franchises: I've heard that they also conduct free seminars. I'm just not sure how informative it might be.)

I don't know which is the "top" since it might depend on your location, and what would work in it.

...share ko na lang din:
You also have to be vigilant with your landlord. In Starmall, they sometimes give tickets to screenings of Pacquiao fights. And  then afterwards, they charge you for it. So sort of sneaky since they didn't say upfront that it wasn't free, and instead just distributed it.

Even if you didn't use the ticket, they might charge you for it. This is because it gets lumped in with your monthly rent/payables to them. So you'll have to go to the office and insist they remove the charge.

And a bigger bummer: Out of nowhere, they decided to lump all food carts together in one place - like a food court, except it's not in the food court. And there's no place to sit. So they increased your competition, and possibly reduced the  potential customers.

There was no other reason other than the owner thought it was neater that way.

possible benefit: they aren't as strict with monitoring your sales, unlike SM, so you have room to under declare - which is a crime, and can get you in big trouble with the BIR. So it's not that great a "benefit".

Thank you Sir for your reply and I stand corrected! I forgot to compute some of the expenses. The profit should range from 25-50k

I advised to go for Big Companies for the reason of stability and will have a greater chance in long term ownership, in my own understanding small franchise companies(not all) are questionable for long term stability they tend to fall in less than 10 years, but this is just my own preference.

I'll follow your posts Sir Thanks!

I totally agree with you Sir, and you're right I gave advise based on my experience, I have my own reasons of why I want big companies but this thread is not about me. Thank you Sir!
