Hi PMT, I’m trying to develop a system that would fit a person who has a day job (monitoring the stock market during trading hours is possible but not a luxury) and the probability that orders will be posted during off-hours would be highly likely.

From time to time, I’ll be posting a list of stocks I’m eyeing, a general picture of the transactions I made and why I entered those transactions.

Feel free to voice out your comments/ suggestions/ ridicules.

:thankyou: muchas gracias mi amigo :thankyou:

It's just something to catch your interest.  :hihi:

I was thinking of a portfolio that would highly benefit Pnoy's Public Private Partnership Program, but I realized it was too limiting. So I shifted to Pong Pagong because: Pagong = mabagal pero mas sure na makakarating (value investor type).
Not only that, Pong Pagong is BFFs with Kiko Matsing, he may help him do a little "tsupit" once in a while.  :D ^sorry corny

With the Property sector most likely to benefit from the cut in lending rates, I tried to do a quick scan using Q1 2012 Financial reports to calculate PE and P/B ratios on property stocks with Market Capitalization above Php10B. The results are as follows:

Picture<--- click me
From the quick scan, it seems that MEG and VLL are "undervalued" <with emphasis on caution> compared to its peers.

"CPG" is very interesting though. If it can sustain its earnings (i'll wait for its Q2 2012 report), at its current price of Php 1.38 per share, there is a possible upside of 45% using a PE ratio of 10. But if you look at CPG's chart, isa syang dambuhalang batugan.

The rainy days... makes me think of Nissin Cup Noodles.

Stock: VLL

Picture<---click me
VLL may be forming a cup and handle pattern. Quoted from
this link
"The Cup with Handle is a bullish continuation pattern that marks a consolidation period followed by a breakout."

Possible Point of entry 4.3sh???
What do you guys think?

cut from lending rates? so there is a decrease in average landing rates in housing loans?
why use p/b or price to book value on property stocks?
what about SMDC? it has been no. 1 in terms of units sold from 2009 up to 2011

sorry maraming tanong :-)
haha but nice research keep up the good work

hmm.. well yes, lower interest rates on loans including housing loans, car loans etc.
More buying power for us. More people buying, more earnings for these developers.
why use p/b or price to book value on property stocks?
I used the P/B as a secondary filter. It gives me a general picture on how the market prices these stocks with respect to their book values. Second, I'm trying to apply the idea that in case a company needs to be liquidated, at the very least, its cash equivalent would be its book value.
what about SMDC? it has been no. 1 in terms of units sold from 2009 up to 2011
take note that the numbers were based only on the Financial reports of Q1-2012.  :D ... a company's competence in "selling" or "bringing in the money" would be reflected in its earnings. The market may have already incorporated these earnings (or not) in the stock's price. That's the reason behind using the PE ratio.
sorry maraming tanong :-)
haha but nice research keep up the good work
Thanks... how can we learn if we don't ask.. just be wary that this was just a quick scan...

Interesting .... subscribing!

As for me, I just signed up for the TRULY RICH CLUB by Bo Sanchez's group.   Kasi, parang ganito rin ang style rin, concentrate on the "giants" - slowly but surely.

I bought a small portion of CPG yesterday @Php1.4 per share in anticipation of a good 2012 1st half report. The STS indicator seems to have a buy signal already. RSI was pointing up, however, it ended neutral. Hopefully the MACD will cross the MACD signal anytime soon.

The Good...
It is a high possibility that CPG's 1st Half earnings will still be attractive even with a mediocre second quarter earnings (Q1 will dampen any bad performance on Q2).

The Bad...
CPG is still in a downtrend. CLSA has been dumping shares since monday (Do they know something that everybody else doesn't???)

They requested for an extension in submitting  their 1st half report.

The Ugly...

If you believe in Aughost...I may have entered pre-maturely.
