Now that you have tried Stock Market are you still going back to MLM networking?

Like stock market investing, doing a multi level marketing or networking promises big bucks. Networkers even boasts that they can earn millions in just a week.

For those who tried both, what would be your ultimate choice for your path to financial freedom?

much better having two or more passive income source.

you'll never know if stock market will crash or all of your downline goes hiatus  in your MLM or economic disaster will kill your tradition business.

Mas maganda nga, for example, you can use funds provided by one source of income to finance the 2nd  income stream. Kaya be good steward for money entrusted to you.

for new members, imposible yung 'a million in a week'

sa networking ,  ang leverage ay in the form of members/downlines.... mas maraming members under you, mas malaki ang leverage mo & eventually possibly ang kita mo..

ang problema sa networking, bihira ang masigasig/motivated na downline. mahirap i-pass on exactly (/of the same magnitude) or mapantayan yung enthusiasm na meron ka sa downlines mo.
ang income mo sa networking is directly proportional sa cumulative effort MO AT ng network mo. since hindi nga lahat 'fire starters', dapat continuous ang motivation mo sa kanila, else yung iba magki-quit &/or madedemotivate
(note: i am not saying this is the ONLY reason kung bakit sila nagquit/nademotivate)
in other words, sa networking para kang may employees na dapat asikasuhin for an indefinite amount of time.

sa trading, u are offered leverage as well. actually ikaw ang mamili ng amount of leverage na gagamitin mo. pero dmo kailangan maghakot ng tao para ma-attain at magamit ang power of leverage (unlike sa networking).
sa trading, wala kang downlines na aasikasuhin o will stress about. ang iintindihin mo lang ang sarili mo at performance mo --- kung magaling ka, maganda ang result; kung dka magaling/dka pa sanay, magrereflect rin yan sa performance mo ---- wala kang sisisihin &/or ikocongratulate kung d sarili mo.

u can do both, pero imposible & dont expect na super ganda ang performance mo on both kasi both BUSINESSES ay VERY time-intensive:
sa networking: mauubos oras mo sa pagpapalaki ng network mo, sa pagbyahe-byahe, etc.
sa trading: malakas kumain ng oras ang pag-aaral at pagpapractice.

since nasubukan ko na pareho, no doubt mas maganda ang trading. why?
- it is a business; IMHO, best business in the world
- no boss
- no employees/downlines to think of & motivate
- seminars are optional
- u can start small from $1 up (pero a substantial amount of capital is recommended)
- learn for free via internet
- work at home or anywhere basta may internet connection
- u can earn (& lose) a lot in just a few seconds (rare occasions), minutes or hours.
- performance-based
- among others

looking back, mas prefer ko na na-encounter ko agad ang trading kesa dumaan pa ko sa MLM (that was +/-year2000). dpa kasi uso satin masyado ang internet noon, saka nasa college pa kasi ako noon.

having said that, para sakin parehong maganda ang networking at trading, since pareho gumagamit ng leverage.
piliin mo san ka mas bagay (based on your strengths/weaknesses) at san ka mas kumportable at masaya.

It takes a lot of effort and time because i have a full-time job. Sa stock trading you have to monitor the movement and learn more about the stocks you bought and going to buy ng nakaupo ka lang with your computer.

Just like FE said, pareho sila dito: you are working at your own; no boss at ikaw ang mananagot kung malugi o kumita. Walang sisisihin kung malugi man....

IMHO, trading cannot be a business kung ikaw parati ang nag tratrade. Kung iaaply natin sa ES/BI quadrant ni Kiyosaki, you are only self employeed (S). The moment you stop doing it, all the advantages said are nil.

If business of trading talaga is your intent, its either you put up an Investment House and hire professionals under your company.. Either andun ka or ala, theoretically, your business will run as a trading.

One more thing, it may be one of the best self employeed "job" in the world, there's no vesting rights and succession planning whatever you had built if you will compare sa traditional or MLM business (similar to what the Ayalas, Sys, Lopez done on their business).
Ibig sabihin, you can never pass it to the next generations in your family.. unless family of self employeed traders and exact duplicate kayo with one another.

Of course, kapalit ng vesting/succession priviledge is your time, effort, money, leverage strategies, etc. on the business.

Short term, trading is great but long term? Its a choice you have to look at..

Sir, u are merely playing semantics. :D
i am familiar with Kiyosaki's 4 quadrants but i do not confine myself to "traditional definitions"
we can call it 'business' or 'self-employment', or whatever.
btw, Sole proprietorship is a type of business.

para sakin, trading is a business kasi for-profit sya... wala kang boss (u are your own boss), wala ka sa (employment) office, & hawak mo oras mo.

to address the rest of your post....
sa trading, pwedeng ikaw lang magtrade, pwede kamag-anak mo na marunong or yung fund manager will do it for u.
sa trading, may tinatawag na computer algorithms or EAs which can do the trading for u, pwedeng as much as 100% automatic/independent if u want.

Stock Trading has all the elements of a viable business. Should I have the right amount of skill and capital, I'd do it.

I also explored the world of MLM and my problem with it lies primarily on the products.

How can I sell something that I myself don't even find useful?

Occasionally, I do buy and sell (trading in short) of certain stuff from delicacies to electronic gadgets and VPN subscription.

My personal opinion:

Employee - You work and earn because of the TIME you spend. The more time you spend, the more money you usually make but usually may CAP because the company does not like to pay too much on overtime pay. And of course we have only 24 hours a day and usually 8 hours of work per day.

Self-employeed- You work and earn because of the RESULTS you make. Even if you spend so much time in your office/clinic but no result is made, you still do not have money. But if you make a very good results even in one hour, you get a very good amount of money. Self-employed individuals can hire other people but usually the results made of the self-employed individual cannot be copied by the people he hires, lest the hires become self-employed as well.

Business - You work and earn because of the SYSTEM you create. Even if you will be away from your business for a while, you will still earn because the system you created allows you to earn money. And because of the SYSTEM IN PLACE (hard assets, the knowledge of the employees, experience, goodwill) you can be able to sell it as well. The entrepreneur who started the business cannot be forever away with the business because he is the one who started it and created the vision. Without his guidance and supervision, the business might not do well.

Investor - You earn money through the MONEY that you invested. Even if you will be gone for a very very long time, you will earn money provided that the investment is a good investment. A large investors usually an hire a investment manager to monitor the investments for them.

In my opinion, investing in the stock market is like being an investor. While MLM is like being a business person.

However, investors usually have the edge because they can diversify their investments to reduce portfolio volatility while businessmen usually focus on a specific industry of his/her own interest or specialty.

A funny note: Why not invest in stocks of these MLM companies? You are like hitting two birds at the same time. =P
