Are referral fees given to non-real estate agents?

pwede yata pero papafill up ka ng isang form (parang "agent" form yata)
or pwede ring abutan ka na lang nung agent mismo (usapan na lang)

Yes, In our company we give referral fee if you refer a client and they get the unit. If you also refer a property owner you can still get a referral fee.

Real Estate Business is a good part time and full time business.

Heto naman ang experience ko last Nov.

I asked a patient who was her agent when she bought her house 2 years ago. They came over and immediately showed us a property. The neighborhood was more than good. My ward fell in love with the two car garage. But the finance minister wanted 2M less for the house( 5 bedrooms upstairs with one tiny toilet and bath, no closets, etc. It's outdated). We didn't pursue the deal because it was too much house for 3 people to live in. Plus the renovation will surely be hell. When another patient asked for any property I know of within the area ( they relocated from Ayala-Alabang and are currently living in 2 condo units near UST just to be with the kids they don't see anymore because they all study in Manila), I told her about the property. Sabi nya, "we'll just pass through" pero binabaan nya and she asked to see the inside from the owners.  When we got back in her car, she told me  outright that I should receive some "parte' from the agent , if her husband buys it. Sabi ko naman , "You asked, I told you and I don't really have any participation in the deal". Pero ganoon daw ang kalakaran.

Anyway, up to now, they are still playing the "he who speaks first loses". The husband is playing hardball.

As to my first foray in buying property, I can't believe the drama and the bullsh*t that fly in those deals.

i'm an agent and i  do give referral fees for those successful closed clients...

depends on the seller/agent/broker. you can't force them though if you are not a licensed agent/broker.

If you really stick to the RESA law, you can't even get a referral bonus unless you are a licensed professional.

^ In a place where everybody needs to make an extra buck, that isn't the reality, is it?. An agent I know chose repeat business over being very square about it. She also said handing over the cash is much easier on her nerves than going out to buy gifts for people that had helped her along.

Basically in real estate industry, there are brokers, agents and referror. There are license brokers and agents and the one who does not have a license but referred the property to interested buyer is called a referror. So, if such referral has been successful, the refferror is entitled to "referror's commission" so as the Broker's/Agent's are entitled to "broker's/agent's" commission.

I wouldn't use the word "entitled" for a referror lest people expect that they really are supposed to get such commissions. Only broker or agents are "entitled" and even then they have to cover their bases and do the paperwork to get their comm.

that's the thing. unless you're a licensed real estate professional, a referror does not have the right to demand a written agreement.
