After reading the book of Colayco 5 yrs ago, i invested my money in mutual funds, stocks  and corporate funds. One book was enough for me to be enlightened.Experience is still the best teacher.i also learned a lot from people here in PMT.

Then after 6 months i read kiyosaki's books pero wala pa ako sa real estate investment. That was when i tried to email CI,an active  poster here who discussed his very successful real estate ventures here.I am learning a lot from some people  who share their experiences here.

^^ Eugene,i bought Colayco's PERA MO PALAGUIN MO.It has detailed explanation of how mutual funds work.It also discussed other forms of investments like corporate funds( pero mababa ang rates ngayon and the usual 5 yr term naging 7 to 10 yrs na)after reading the book ,you should practice it to get the feel of it.inde pwedeng basa lang ng basa.

i suggest back reading the mutual fund thread.ang dami mo mapupulot dun kasi actial experience ng tao ang mababasa mo dun.dahan dahan ka muna. You might start with mutual funds, then pag lumakas na loob mo pasukin mo stocks.

Hi! everyone. am new here my first post and question @ wintan2006 sir would you say that of all the different types of investment options we have right now it is wise to start with the mutual fund investment for me as newbie? before diving to other investments? (i.e. stocks, forex, etc.) Is it the first step or the training ground? Thank you!

@ waray,it all depends on your risk appetite.it happened that i wasn't  into stocks before ,so i started with TDs,corporate bonds, mutual bonds then stocks.yung stocks,my sister is doing the buying and selling for me.I thought about forex before pero parang inde pa kaya ng powers ko.

          waray,you're welcome.

In mutual funds, the profilt will depend on when you sell it.There was a time that i earned 20% in 3 months( i put lump sum here) so medyo malaki ang kita. last year, when navps was starting to go down,i sold some of my MFs and it earned me an average of 10% per annum. It was already good for me considering the interest offered by banks.mababaw lang ako.

sa stocks, ang style naman ng sister ko,hit and run :D.there was a time I earned 20% in a week.sya kasi ang bumibili, she told me na sya na bahala.i trust her naman.

if you will compare their profit,i could say it's faster to earn in stocks pero mas mabilis din mawala.I got a very close friend here,he owned 4 apartments. He invested in stocks before, kinareer nya talaga.I bumped into him 2 months ago and he told me he sold one of his apartments( ang isang maliit na apartment dito costs  5M pesos, old na apartment na yan ha).I asked him if he still trades,he said" NO, PLEASE, NO)He lost a lot in stocks.Yan lang siguro masasabi ko,why don't you ask other traders here, they have their own story din baka they are doing very well in stocks. You can ask for their advice.small time investor lang po ako.
