Hello guys,

I'm among those interested on where to invest directly on corporate bonds and other fixed income securities.  I've read some threads, and most comments are pointing only to bank products.

I believe that PDEX is our local exchange for bonds and other FIS.  (my analogy is...  Philippine stocks is to PSE while bonds is to PDEX)  Anyone familiar on how to trade via this market?  I wonder kung gaano ka-liquid?  Like for example if I buy a 10-year bond and trade it away after some time (not on maturity).

Also, my question would be on the perspective of a small-time retail investor.

mayroon din bang "bond brokers" you can call if you want to trade certain bonds?

As far as I know, Treasury Bonds transactions are administered through banks like Landbank, DBP and selected commercial banks in the Philippines base sa mga nabasa ko dati. Sila yung authorized to transact business with Bureau of Treasury (BTr).

As i understood, one way for you to buy TBs is through accredited or designated financial institution and another through PDEX (as what the inquirer article has stated).  I have 10-54 and 20-17 which i bought through Chinabank last year. I can also sell these back to the bank at a market rate before their maturity dates (currently they are trading at a premium - 108.84 and 123.45), i just need to call my banker. i have not sold them yet but the process is very straightforward.

Php1,000, 10,000, 100,000 or 1million?
