Hi everyone.

I just wanted to ask if there are any Sure-approve Credit Cards or Loans out there?  I had a cancelled credit card and unpaid Salary loan, but that was back in 2005.

Things have changed, my salary has increased significantly and I am now paying off a BDO Auto Loan (approved because of sure-approve contact of car company sales agent).  So, I was wondering if there is such a thing as a Sure-approve Credit Card or Loan, or if may kakilala kayo?

I have tried applying to various banks for loans or credit cards, and looks like they are ignoring my new salary & high position (and approved Auto Loan) and basing it all on my unpaid Salary Loan or Credit Card last 2005. :(

Please reply in your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your time.  :thankyou:

In a capitalist society like ours credit IS everything!!  I have an ex-officemate who applied and qualified for the position of Collections Manager for BDO.  But come contract-signing he was surprised when the company officer laid down on the table his 3 cancelled credit card accounts.  Ending?  My friend was asked to pay settle all 3 credit cards before he will be hired.

Perhaps 2009 is the most concrete and accurate portrayal of credit's importance in a country's financial and capital life.  Everywhere deals are made and new businesses spring with the help of credit.

My advice to you is settle your credit cards to rebuild your credit standing.

Banks do credit investigation on a potential new hire prior to job offer, so if you intend to work for a bank, you have to pay all your unsettled bills. Same way for applying for loans,
kahit sobrang tagal na ng mga yan, matetrace nila yan.

With the implementation of the Credit Information Act of 2008, banks and other financial institutions can now share credit data of all their clients. Meaning they now know if you have an unpaid loan in another bank or an unpaid credit card bill years ago. They will use this to assess your credit rating and will become a deciding factor whether to approve your loan or to increase your interest rate.

As far as I know, there are no sure- or pre-approved credit cards in the Philippines, but you can still apply. Some banks might ignore your poor credit standing in the past and give you a credit card.

Were you able to pay off your credit card
and unpaid loans?
If so, you should have been issued a cert
of full payment or something like that.

You could attach that along with your application.

As for a "pre approved" credit card.. You can try
a secured card. You place a time deposit in the bank
and the bank will give you x% as the credit limit
of the secured credit card.

I'm not sure if there's any pre approved loans.
SSS and Pag Ibig I guess..
I don't think they do any CI
Or sa bombay ahihihi

There is NO SUCH THING, except if you have a TD at that bank which will be use as a collateral in case you default...  :coffee:

Seriously speaking as far as your scenario is concern,"I had a cancelled credit card and unpaid Salary loan, but that was back in 2005."I think that It is quite difficult.I think you need to review your credit score and apply for it...
Let see what happened next but Its too risky.

Sir, kung nagkabaliktad ng position, sa tingin mo pauutangin mo sila?

We should be able to look at our credit rating. I read from US blogs that they could calculate their credit score/rating. Or at least have some idea.

I wonder, do we have that here?

Not that I'm aware of, Back in the states every adults 18 and over has the right to view their credit history and is entitled to received 1 free annual report every year...Anything under 600 points is considered BAD credit and 601 to 699 points is AVERAGE credit with 700 to 800 points being considered to have the BEST credit history and will usually get approve instantly or get swamp with pre-approved loan/credit card offers...There are 3 major reporting agencies that maintains the records!   :book:

You can try to apply for a secured credit card because it does not require credit check. It works by funding the card and you are ready to use it. The amount of your deposit would be your credit limit.

If you are applying for a secured CC in BPI, they still do credit checks. They did that to me. The bank personnel repeatedly mentioned to me that the card department in Manila do not always approve issuing secured CCs to those who are willing to put in a hold-out deposit.

They give credit limit of 80% of the amount of hold-out deposit, or even less.
