Musta sa lahat ... Inquire ko lang po sana kung meron ditong kumuha or aware/informed or may idea about sa bagong product ng PhilPlans (formerly PhilAm Plans)... Yung All-In-One plan nila na parang form of Savings din... Bale for 10 years mo syang huhulugan then meron kang parang target na ma-achieve ... Flexible ung premium mo if ever gusto mo upgrade...after maturity (10 years) makukuha mo agad as lump sum and wala na waiting period unlile ng ibang pre-need Plans...every 5 years after maturity meron ka pang makukuha na 7%-9% ng maturity amount as dividend... so parang form of Pension Plan sya.... Then once daw na comes to worst na namatay ka ng hindi pa tapos ung hulog mo eh waived na ung remaining premiums kahit na isang hulog ka palang at may makukuha ang dependents/beneficiaries na specific amount depende sa principal... so in this form para syang Life Insurance... Wherein pag nagkasakit ka naman or naging disabled at incapable kna magbayad eh considered fully paid narin ung plan at may makukuha ka rin na specific amount depende sa principal so para syang Medical Insurance ...

If it sounds like a pre-need plan, smells like a pre-need plan, or talks like a pre-need plan, then it must be a pre-need plan.

Better check very well the company and the features of the plan.

Actually it's a Pre-Need + Insurance Plan ... During the time that you are paying, insured ka quivalent to the premium amount. Upon maturity of the plan (12th year) ska mag expire din ung insurance ...

Here are the details as presented in the proporal I recieved:

A.) Guaranteed Maturity Benefit or return of premiums.
B.) At the time of maturity, you can still choose to leave your principal (Maturity Benefit) with Philam Plans to maximize its earning opportunities. Your investment after the Maturity Date will earn at prevailing rates.
C.) Waiver of Premium Payments Upon Death or Total Permanent Disability:
In the event of the Planholders death, we will render the plan fully paid. Similar to this, the plan is also fully paid in the event that the planholder is totally and permanently disabled.
D.) Term insurance ( Valid Until the age of 75 and 6 months old or until maturity which ever comes first.)
On top of the previous benefits, in case of the death of the Planholder before the Maturity,His/Her Family will Receive 100% of the Maturity Benefit.
E.) Forfeit- Free - protects your money by providing a cash saver value even if plan payments have not been completed such cash saver value can be withdrawn anytime or reinvested.

Dodong,

Age? Smoker? Maturity Benefit-how much? annual premium?

Is the premium more expensive than your life insurance?

The use of "maturity" and "cash value" ay parang pre-need at traditional life insurance.

C and D can be riders to either pre-need, term or trad. life.

B  makes it a participating pre-need plan( premiums are invested for returns).

E makes it a vul, esp. if you are paying premiums way above what you pay for your age bracket.

Posted on: May 20, 2010, 11:08 PM
Talo. Puede namang vul and MF na separate.

Yung sukli maski 8-9% na balanced fund pa ilagay outside of your own VUL policy, mauuna ka pa siguro.

ang asawa ko kumuha ng ganitong package pero pinagiisipan ko kung itutuloy ko pa kasi kung 10 yrs sya hulugan, after 2 yrs doon mo pa makukuha ang premiums na worth 500k pero total inivest mo eh more than sa premium mo, pero pag di mo naman kunin may interest na 7-9 interest a annually, ano sa palagay mo kung ilalagay ko nalanag sa banko as time deposit na may interest na 10% annually , mas malaki ba ang kikitaain ko,

10% on time deposit?

@kcmendoza

Actually ung 7%-9% is projected na annual dividend na mag start on the 3rd year and end on 12th year with option to reinvest. I contacted the agent to inquire on some other concerns pero di ako nakakarecieve ng reply.Wala akong magawa but to wait kc and2 ako sa labas. Actually down payment palang naman yung nabigay ko about 2,148.00. After I received the proposal with the computation, nagdalawang isip ako.

Kung gaya din yan ng VUL, a portion of your money will go to insurance premium payment while the rest go to the trust fund/pooled fund for investment purposes.

Please correct me guys if I'm wrong. Thanks!

I posted earlier about my niece's pre-need(pension) na ayaw nya i-lapse kaya pina-transfer sa akin. 3 mos. ago, I asked my agent what is the ROI of their plan, 2.64% p.a. sa participating na plan. Kaya hindi sya nag-push. Binili ko yung sa pamangkin ko pero sya pa rin ang beneficiary- parang reward nya simply for thinking about her future.

Tapos, nagkaroon yata ng big change sa regulations, meaning- hindi na yata SEC ang may hawak ng preneed kundi Insurance commission na kaya very limited na sila choice of investment dahil lumaki na rin yata ang requirement nila for the trust fund. Think about it: If regulations say 60% should go to a trust fund to meet future obligations of maturing plans, napakakonti ang perang natira for investments.
