If there's extra money and you are given the chance to buy 10 books, what will be on your list?

Mauna na ako (eto napapala ng palaging nakatambay sa NBS at Powerbooks, hehehe)

1. The Audacity of Hope (Obama)
2. Rich Dad, Poor Dad (Kiyosaki) - ebook lang ang meron ako
3. The Alchemist (Coelho) - ebook din lang
4. Who Moved my Cheese? (Johnson)
5. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind (T Harv Eker)
6. How to Live a Life of Miracles (Bo Sanchez)
7. He's just not that into you (forgot the author)
8. 5 people you meet in heaven (Albom) - ebook din lang ang meron ako
9. Grammar book ni Dups Reyes (I was glad to find this but with a new lay-out)
10. Love in the Time of Cholera (Marquez)

Sis, you have a very good list of books here.  Still ranking mine.  Really giving me a hard time to decide.   :hihi:

I think I've reached the saturation point for buying books.

Let me tweak the question a little bit. If you were to clean up your library and just retain ten books, what would they be?

Not in any order

1.  Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag ni Edgardo Reyes

2.  One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, specifically the copy I found in Booksale, when I was still struggling and I couldn't afford to buy a decent edition.

3.  The Varieties of Metaphysical Poetry by T.S.Eliot. I was a working student back then and after office hours I would pass by the old Powerbooks in Arnaiz St.,Makati to read one chapter every day until i finished the book.  Months later I had saved enough to finally buy the book.

4. Selected Poems of T.S. Eliot....siyempre

5. Selected Poems of e.e. cummings

6. Death Interrupted by Jose Saramago....I haven't read Blindness yet

7. Waiting for Godot by beckett

8. The Penguin Classics edition of the poems of Jose Garcia Villa

9. First volume of Remembrance of Things Past.  Mas masarap basahin ito kapag in-love ka. I wasn't able to read the rest na.

10.  Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre. Paulit-ulit ko nang binasa, hanggang ngayon may natutunan pa rin ako. Galing.

Hi, bakit naman you've reached saturation? Dahil sobrang dami mo nang books or nagsawa ka na sa kakabasa?

To answer your question (though we may have to deviate from the topic thread)....I would retain my favorites and that would be that of Bob Ong's, Bo Sanchez' and Joel Osteen's. I've bought the 2 books by Obama but have not had the time to finish them.. Malay mo..ma dislodge ni Obama si Ong, Sanchez and Osteen hehehe.

1.The first of THE MOTLEY FOOL series. Very humorous way of bringing forth personal financial planning.
2. The Road Less Travelled. That lightened my extra baggage real good.
3. The biography of Bill Clinton for the method of unceasing ambition.

Sorry about the incomplete info. I de-clutter my brain often.

Totally agree on The Motley Fool Series. Got my copy from Booksale and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommended for people who want to learn finance, investing, stocks, and financial ratios but do not want to be bombarded with intimidating jargons and very complex financial concepts. I had fun reading it as the concepts are presented in a humorous way. Heavy subject matter, light read.

I love books: these the books in my cabinet . All the books of Jo Nesbo. I like detective stories. All the books of Stieg Larsoon.   Maybe  ten books of James Patterson . I can't memorise the title . Martiina Cole's book. It's a bit brutal. Sorry. and the one am reading now is The Game of Thrones. -- The Feast for Crows . And three more books to read : A Dance With Dragons , part 123. Got them all because its BUY ONE GET ONE FOR HALF PRICE. Cheers
