Title: Baclaran Rural Bank
Post by: maven_1989 on Nov 22, 2014, 11:18 PM
I tried to inquire thru phone regarding their Savings Account and it starts at 1000 pesos. That's the only type of deposit product that they offer according to the bank personnel that I was able to talk to. The branch is located at Redemptorist Street in Baclaran, Paranaque. Any feedback on the bank? :)

The Savings Account is documented thru Passbook. Got plans of opening to try having an account with a Rural Bank. Nothing wrong with having an acccount here naman but the risk is high nga lang siguro. Ano sa tingin nyo? :)

Nothing wrong depends on the purpose.
Go!, if for investment diversification, dahil mas mataas ang interest nila compared sa iba. (have you asked?)
If to save your hard earned money, (like me na dipa naman ganoon kalaki ang ipon) then go to the big ones.
If small amount lang naman para more convenient dahil malapit. yes.

I also asked for their interest rate and its also 0.25% per annum just like most banks. I actually have an account din with a commercial and a thrift bank. Rural bank na lang wala. :) When it comes to convenience, ok lang din kasi malapit lang din sakin and I wont place a huge amount of money naman.

In addition, I was able to pass by the bank and saw that the bank was established since 1957. 57 years in the Rural Banking industry, does this give them a plus advantage? It is situated on the 2nd floor and I wonder how it looks like inside. I cant seem tp find their latest financial statement online.

Anyone here who happens to have an account with Baclaran Rural Bank, feel free to share your feedback. :)
