Title: Banned Adsense Account
Post by: tyronesolee on Dec 08, 2011, 11:32 AM
Last Friday, I got the most dreaded email ever by receiving Google's email that my 3-year old adsense account got banned for reason being layout encourages accidental clicks. I have seen hundreds of blogs using layout which encourages accidental clicks yet they are still existent. I really don't know why Google had an eye on me lately.

Anyway, I have a question. If In case, I got a new adsense account which I am currently on the process of applying one, can I still place it on sites where my adsense account was previously placed? Perhaps I'll need some repositioning so that it's not that obtrusive so as to avoid the same violation again.

Thanks sa tulong. I really hope I can get a new account.

I can't understand why people are willing to risk their Adsense accounts like that. Just because others are doing it doesn't make it right. The reality is that Adsense don't really care much about publishers (I can't really blame them) so we have to be really careful and, to a degree, be paranoid about our online business.

Here are the recommended placements from Google itself which I follow to the letter:

Personally, I wouldn't risk putting adsense on the same site again but that's just me. Might be a good idea to search the web for similar cases...

Good luck.

I have a question do you earn big from adsense? Usually I scattered my websites among our family adsense accounts as we have 4 all in all. This is because to avoid google's eye checking on our websites and to make monthly cashout a little lower. I have this suspicion and maybe I just want it safe that when you are earning enough maybe google personnel will manually check your site and once you have some invalid clicks or stuff against their TOS they will find out now then eventually face the consequences.

nerbie, ingat ka rin sa ganyan especially if the different Adsense accounts are using the same home/mailing address. Malabo yun ruling about this but some experts are saying that for some countries, Adsense only allows one account per address. Meaning you could have an Individual and/or Business account using the same address but they will not allow different Individual accounts using one address. If this is true, I'm quite sure it's not being enforced but you never know in the future.

Like I said, paranoia is good when it comes to Google and Adsense because they're simply ruthless. They have no due process that I know of that can give you hope if you make a mistake in your compliance. Buti sana kung patas para sa lahat but there are some publishers that get warnings first before they get banned (as in the case with PMT a while back); but for most, they just kill your account with no warning whatsoever!

I have two Individual Adsense accounts. One is under my name and the other is under another person's and I made sure we are using different home addresses.

Refer to this Google support thread (the Philippines was mentioned in it):

No worries, Actually I'm aware of it and its not the same address. When I applied the other adsense accounts for my bro and sis I use their office addresses. I'm just spreading my investment para safe lang kasi wala nga makapagsabi kung maban or hindi ang adsense natin even we follow rules. Although two of our adsense was created back in 2004 when adsense was very new and until now its still working.

thanks

@tyronesolee: I encountered the same, banned twice after using the new account on my old blog sites. once you received your new adsense account, much better if you'll use it on different platform or website.
