There are two methods: Digital and SilkScreen.

Durability, mas silkscreen can last long.

Mas madali naman ang digital. kung hindi maramihan ang operation mo, more on souvenirs, mas maigi ang digital.

Pag naman maramihan, at 1 or 2 colors lang, silkscreen. pero feasible lang ito pag aabot ka ng 50 pieces at an average price.

mitsurugi ndi mo inaccept ung friend request ko sayo sa YM.. pero in your own oppinion kumusta ang demand ng t-shirt printing kapag naging market namin eh mga youth... my partners want to rent a stall in a mall then we can also provide them some pre-designed shirts and we can also offer them to create their own t-shirt from the designs that we will provide... do you think it will work?

mahihirapan ka if you go start in a mall. it will drain out your finances. start small.

 youth...

@lftan2008
me and my "partners" even now are still home based, inspite of our growth. our only outlets around are the service outlets that have a walk-in market. and these are high yielding small shops. still, we operate most of our high value products like shirt digital printing at home. saves us all the hassle of paying for space that is not being utilized 100 percent of the time.

i can see that you feel dictated by the market constraints. why not create a trend instead? that can save you a lot. market penetration is no easy task even for a BBQ vendor, but, if you can make your product distinctive, you can set a good trend. And so comes profitability.

You may get info also from Tshirtforums (http://www.t-shirtforums.com/asia/) regional, there are many filipinos there who are very experienced in terms of silkscreen, digital and DTG.

I happen to research on this subject a few months back. You may watch youtube videos but also consider attending seminars since I believe it is beneficial as you can ask questions from the lecturer like how to do pricing, where to get the best inks and supplies.

In terms of startup costs:
Silkscreen - Php10K to Php100K
you can start with one-color and two-color. This is cheaper to setup.
     Photographic Silkscreen Equipments:
            Frames
            Emulsion
            Mesh screen(different mesh sizes)
            Textile or water-based ink
            Plastisol ink
Conveyor Dryer (needed if you will use Plastisol ink)
            Exposure Unit
If you are going to print more than 2colors, you may consider getting the carousel, made in china, philippines or by an australian. There are also other alternative to the carousel.
T-shirts you can buy in Juan Luna in Binondo

Digital - Php20K to Php500K
Heat press machines. US Made Hix press machines and china made ones, get from bigpix and Graficad. They give the longer warranty. Always get longer warranty.
either Laser printer - OKI, Xerox, Canon Multi functional printers
or Inkjet printer with pigment or sublimation CISS
Transfer papers either for Laser and Inkjet printer for light and dark garments.
Tshirts needed to be used should have more than 60% cotton content. Specific brands can be a determining factor.

DTG machine - china made Php200K - Php800K

Hi parevive naman ng thread, gusto ko kasing magstart ng online nito, marami rin atang nagbibusiness ng ganito
Paano po ba magiging unique in this kind of business?
kung lahat naman kayo pare-pareho lang ng way ng pagprint, for small business surely ang technique lang is heat transfer and silk screen, pare-pareho lang po ang bilis/tagal ng paggawa ng shirt kasi pare-pareho lang ng way unless one has more equipment
How can you be unique in such a perfectly competitive market?
