This is not right.  Mike Defensor should have not pursued the perjury case.  As far as I am concerned, Jun Lozada has long been insignificant.  He is not a victim of social injustice; he is not a victim of "harrassment" of a "corrupt government."  He is many times a victim of himself and of his own doing.  He is the victim of his own greed.  I was appalled the way he admitted during the Senate hearing how he awarded lease to his family-owned company tracts of government land.  He is a victim of his folly believing that he is smart enough to outwit others including those on whose hands he fed.  He is a victim of an illness that seem to afflict most opposition leaders, that of messianic complex.  Lastly, he allowed himself to be victimized by the ravenous opposition.  The viscious opposition who will do anything, including maligning the very office they've been dreaming to occupy.

It's difficult to tell what's fact or fiction in the Philippine media.

i havent read the editorial posted above but the two-words in the title are sufficient for me to concede to this naked truth.  the arrest of lozada is beyond absurd and its infuriating indeed... kaloka to the highest level.

nuisance talaga yang si mike defensor, this is his only way to get media mileage, wala na kasi syang appeal sa mga tao... kahit na ba feeling nya may right sya magdemanda for perjury, its superfluous! as a government official, its only natural for them to get dragged into controversies such as this, e talaga namang dumadaan sa kanila mga papeles at transaction na ganyan e, alangan namang hindi sila mabanggit... imagine if every government official would file a complaint or criminal case everytime ther name get's mentioned in exposes or factual narrations ng mga nagttestify sa senate or korte, malamang di na sila makakapasok sa opisina kakafile ng ibat-ibang demanda.. IMO, may KSP lang talagang tao at umeepal ng bonggang-bongga dito dahil eleksyon na naman next year.. and did u see how he used his whole family (wife and 4 children) sa presscon and then magpaphoto-op? this is just one publicity stunt for an otherwise political has-been... kasi nga naman yung mga contemporaries nya andaming publicities: si mar nagpropose kay koring on wowowee, kiko's wife mega announced the former's running for VP, while chiz is starting to top the surveys for VP, e si mike d., wala na sa ere, and nobody cares... so what better way to revive his fledgling career as a trapo? sorry na lang sya dahil kung si jun lozada ang tatakbong senador, tiyak malalampaso talaga si mike, if only for the sympathy votes to lozada, courtesy of the "underdog-loving", masang pilipino.. i hope mike realizes how much notoriety of GMA has rubbed off on him being her favorite puppy (in tagalog, t**a) and this perjury case will not in any way help his political career, if any is left..

anyway... ang batas at hustisya sa atin minsan talaga depende kung sino ang kinalaban mo... kung nasa posisyon, pwedeng-pwede kang hanapan ng kaso, ultimo pagpatay ng lamok palalakihin nila ng husto. they will go through incredible lengths to turn things around and make you the bad guy. the sad part is they succeed-- all the time.

we often wonder how far we've come along since this country gained its independence but the real question is, how far we've lagged behind.  look at lozada and you'll get the answer... meanwhile, WHERE THE H**L IS EX-COMELEC CHAIRMAN ABALOS? I'm sure with the kickback he pocketed from the NBN deal, he can afford to buy an island and turn it into his very own golfing paradise.. pit the two images side by side.. lozada sitting in jail while abalos sleeping on a bed covered by millions of dollar bills ... that's what i call a paradox; and a travesty of the highest order.

Saddening news. If you do not belong to the elite or not an ally of the present administration, it is easy for the law to pass judgment on you or persecute you.

This is a classic case of "it's not what you know, it is who you know"

God  :help: our country!

Sa mga ganitong cases, wala ba tayong magagawa?

God help the Philippines, but we should also do our part. Ang tanong: Papano?

Nakakagigil ang ganitong sistema. Walang boses ang mamamayan.
