Title: Love for Photography
Post by: Brifree on Mar 23, 2014, 03:57 AM
I would like to open a new topic.
I love photography and I am sure a lot of our forum members are as well.
Photography is kind of a therapy for me.
Its not just about the gears but it is capturing moments in our lives.

Tell me if photography plays a vital role in your life...

I don't know how to do it professionally, but I like to see good photography works. I really like Gregory Colbert. His photographs and films reawaken an ancient memory in us of a time when we lived in balance with our animal kin. Especially I love his project "Ashes and Snow".

I want to try it din, although since nagdradrawing ako dati at naaalala ko kung gaano kahirap magdevelop ng bagong skill, ayaw kong makapagcommit ng time at effort (not to mention cash for equipment) para mag-aral ng bagong art form.

Magiging useful din siya sakin kasi blogger ako, pero sa ngayon public domain pictures lang muna ginagamit ko. Maybe someday I'll take it up, but not right now.

Ang sakin, need. Like I needed it 15 years ago. Maka pag request nga sa professional organization kung may talent sila for a specific course catered to facial and oral photography. What stopped me before was the dental lens that had 4 points source of light sa dulo. In 1999, it was already 45K. Not justified for the amount of work that I do. Probably a lot cheaper now. Pangarap ko lang, tethered na camera. That would do away with choosing which photos to use and print.

Photography is a form of visual art. You need skills and knowledge in order to have an output that would be worthy to be called as art or even used for commercial purposes.
