The backlink was put there for: Building SEO Power nothing else The "page content issues that were causing the page not to be indexed properly" was the fact Google banned WidgetBucks for using sneaky SEO tactics - FORCING publishers to give them a backlink. Nothing more, nothing less. This company got what it deserved, banned/penalised and hated. That whole response from the WidgetBucks representative… what a load of well orcastrated lies.

The “page content issues that were causing the page not to be indexed properly” was the fact Google banned WidgetBucks for using sneaky SEO tactics – FORCING publishers to give them a backlink.

Nothing more, nothing less. This company got what it deserved, banned/penalised and hated.

That's why some people have started to discount the importance of PR. In the first place, there are very popular sites with lots of traffic but with a low PR (2 or 3), and yet there are PR 5 or 6 sites which are barely popular and have very few visitors. A high PR site these days does not necessarily mean it's a popular or a good site. Very unpredictable talaga ang PageRank system ng Google. It went from being a PR3 to a PR1. Hindi ako nagbebenta ng text links dahil hindi naman commercial yung site ko. And isa pa, dumoble nga halos visitor per day ko for August-October kasi nagkaron ako ng contest. Narealize ko baka kasi I used anchor text behind my banner ads as alternate tags for text-only browser readers. Akala ata ng Google paid links yung ads ko, eh link exchange lang from people in my niche yun! Buti na lang iiwan ko na yung domain (free domain lang kasi) to move to a private domain so no hard feelings kasi I'm starting out from scratch anyways. One of my web sites took a hit this PR update.
