How to resolve blocked e-gold accounts problem

Having problems logging in to your e-gold account? You are not alone. Thousands of e-gold users worldwide are recently complaining of such.

Here are some tips that might help unblock your e-gold account.

If you are experiencing an IP block or DNS blacklist problem, some people suggest that you get a new IP address in order to regain access to your account. You can do this by merely restarting your modem and PC. It's a matter of trial and error before you can get an IP address that works, especially if e-gold has already blocked several IP addresses from your network. But if you're patient, you'll hit the jackpot.

For some who do not have an IP block but are simply forbidden to login to their accounts, the problem may either be one of the two: (1) e-gold suspects the account have been used in illegal transactions and wants the account holder to verify his identity; or (2) some account profile information are missing or incorrect and e-gold wants the account holder to rectify these.

E-gold sends the following email to those users with blocked accounts:

Your account has been blocked under our Rights of Association clause in the
account user agreement.

Issuer reserves the right to refuse service to particular individuals or
entities, at its sole discretion, with or without cause.

In order to remove the account block, users are asked to send e-gold verification documentation. From e-gold:

In order for us to assist you with the block we will need due diligence
documents. Please mail (or preferably, use a courier service such as
Fed Ex or DHL) original notarized copies of all of the following information:

a) A signed and notarized affidavit listing: Name, address, and
telephone number for the owner of e-gold account xxxxxx
b) Copy of a telephone or utility bill that has the same address stated
in item A.
c) Notarized copy of Passport or Driver’s license for the account
owner.
