Google Adsense announces revenue-sharing percentage

After years of keeping mum on the Adsense revenue share, Google finally broke its silence and announced via an official blog post how much advertising money it shares to publishers.

On the Inside Adsense blog, Google disclosed that:

  • For Adsense for Content (the usual contextual ads you see on most blogs), the revenue share of webmasters is 68%. This means for every $100 that advertisers pay to Google, $68 goes to the publisher while Google retains the remaining $32.
  • For Adsense for Search (ads appearing on Google search results posted on one’s site), the revenue split is 51%-49%, slightly in favor of publishers. This means publishers get $51 for every $100 advertisers pay on Adsense for Search.

How to earn passive income from your blogs

It feels weird making a new blog post after almost three weeks of resting. Yes, it’s been almost three weeks since I made my last post (see Free magazines for Filipinos posted on November 15).

This posting hiatus happened for two reasons. One, I went to Singapore and Indonesia from November 17 to 23 and didn’t have time to make any new blog post while I was away.

The second and more important reason is that the posting break was actually an experiment of mine. I was trying to check if blogging can indeed give passive income, and this I did by comparing my Google Adsense income before and after my last blog post.

Here are the results of this experiment.

How to make money online with Clickbank

A lot of people have been writing us in the past asking why we don’t recently feature a lot of “make money online” opportunities. The simple answer is that we can’t find a lot of genuine online income opportunities.

Most of the money-making schemes found on the internet, especially those which ask for an “investment” in exchange for future “profits”, are scams.

There are some, like Paid to Click (PTC) or other Get-Paid-To programs, that pay but a lot of time is needed in return for meager cents.

Genuine programs like Google Adsense are starting to show a decline in earnings so those starting out may now have to double their efforts to earn a few dollars.

Fortunately, a genuine make-money-online program has been recently introduced for Filipinos. Last week, Clickbank has started accepting affiliates from the Philippines.
