Best Mutual Funds in the Philippines to Invest In

Two months down, 10 more to go. How are your investments so far?

If you want to check how your mutual fund or exchange traded fund performed in the past 2 months, look no further. Below is a summary of the current returns generated by your funds, together with a comparison of their previous years’ performance.

Year-to-date (YTD) performances, or the returns earned by the fund from the start of the year until the current date, should not be used as sole criteria when deciding which fund performed well. Although the rate of return is typically a good measure of performance, other factors such as the fund’s consistency of return and exposure to risks must also be considered before investing.

Consistency of performance refers to an ETF or mutual fund’s ability to generate expected returns over a long period of time. This is the reason why we also include the past 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year returns of each fund in the list below.

What are Mutual Funds?

Mutual Funds are a collective investment scheme where funds are pooled from a variety of investors and invested by professional fund managers in different asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and money market instruments, among others.

What are Exchange Traded Funds?

Stocks, Mutual Funds, Forex, Finance Philippines

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are open-ended investment companies that track a basket of assets and traded on a stock exchange.

Investors must conduct due diligence before making the decision to invest. Be advised, too, that returns in these funds are not guaranteed and loss of capital is a possibility.
