I was able to access my EON online banking account after I enrolled it a few days ago and saw in the transactions the EXPUSE number. I just linked my card a couple of hours ago and got the EXPUSE number immediately after I logged in to my EON online banking page after linking my card. Thanks for this tip, sure helped a lot. Oh, and by the way, the 8400 number did not work but the EXPUSE number was there in the middle of the VISA-****PAYPAL–*EXPUSE SG(840)with the asterisks being the EXPUSE number for activating your card with. Thanks again for the help. :)

@pinky,i have the same prob. actually it just happened awhile ago. Before,i can’t login my cyber account,but luckily i was able to remember my username. But as of December 12,2009. i can’t anymore login my account. like yours it says please enter correct card number/pin. My cards valid thru is 02/12. i was thinking, do i need to renew my card or what?too bad i just withdrawn my money from paypal.

I’ve been an eon card holder for 2 years… weird thing is since december of last year until today (feb 2009) I can’t seem to access my eon cyberaccount… during log-in the same message would appear “please enter a valid card number / user id”. I called their customer care hotline and the agent told me he would make a report regarding my problem, I requested my account to reset. He said wait for 1-2 banking days… it’s been 5 days… no e-mail yet from unionbank. :( anyone with the same prob and was able to solve it?

you’re wrong, man.

the EXPUSE number is the number after the word PAYPAL. 840 is not the EXPUSE number.

Good thing I did not believe you instantly. If I did, maybe my card will be blocked. hehe… I don’t believe that my EXPUSE number is the same as your EXPUSE number.

ano po ba email address ng unionbank so i could email them na lang? kasi i tried calling 84186 pero lageng please hold lang. and when i signed up for online banking, di naman ako maka log in kasilageng may please enter a valid card # pero sure naman ako na tama yung inenter ko na card #. amp!

i got my Expuse number after emailing Union bank customer service using through my cyber account. my EXPUSE number arrived in less than 3 days i think.. it was fast as compared to those who wait for weeks even months..

i’ve followed what you said but my card get deactivated!!

* 1. Once you have applied for PayPalâ€™s Expanded Use Program, log in to your UnionBank internet banking account.

* 2. Once logged in, access the â€œTransaction Historyâ€ of the account you used to enroll in the Expanded Use Program.

* 3. Scan your history for the transaction that debited your account with the $1.95 Expanded Use Enrollment fee (the Peso charge is normally around P87+).

* 4. In the corresponding â€œTransaction Descriptionâ€ column, check if you see a 3- or 4-digit number. In my case, this is 840 from the line VISA-SG(840).

* 5. Since the EXPUSE number is a 4-digit number, I added â€œ0â€³ as the last digit. I used 8400, the new 4-digit number (840 + 0 last digit), as my PayPal EXPUSE number and, guess what, it worked!

Why bother? Just drop a bank mail from your EON Online Banking account and in just an hour or two a rep will reply with your expanded use number. It’s easy and safe and no worries.
