ChinaBank Withdrawal Success!

I did a test withdrawal on the 28th in the evening and it just appeared on the account this afternoon. The bad news is that the 357 pesos became 157 pesos. So they charge 200 pesos  for it.

Still waiting on the eon debit card withdrawal....it's still pending

wow congrats.. ung BDO mo ba un din ung sa EON mo? thanks.... tagal kasi ngaun sa EOn.. 1 week na pending pa din...

What do you mean yung BDO mo sa EON mo?

My last withdrawal to EON was on January 19 which was successful. I didn't know that many people have some troubles with Pending withdrawals to EON.

Biske, do you also have some problems with Pending withdrawals to EON?

@kira> nope. Nagulat nga rin ako eh, may mga ganun palang problems. Granted, hindi naman ako ganun kadalas magwithdraw, mga 3-4 times a month lang.

^ Ang laki naman ng spread ng Paypal (i.e., difference of their offered rate and actual exchange rate). Average exchange rate kanina ay P40.50. So around P0.60 per dollar ang kita nila? Wow.

@Louis, that's using the official Chinabank bank code right, not the previously issued code? That's around 4 banking days processing. Transaction charge is P200? Hmm, I wonder how much the other banks are charging.

To those who have tried withdrawing Paypal to their bank accounts, post here your transactions and tell us how much was charged and how long before it was completed.

FG>> I got it wrong. It's 39.50 pesos, so that's 1 peso per dollar na kita. Parang nung isang araw lang, 40.70 to 40.90 exchange rate nila. I'm still waiting whether the exchange rate would rebound back of it'll stay like that for good (hope not).

No, it wasn't the official code. It was the BRSTN code for the branch the account is at. It might have added an extra day to processing, but it worked. For my next withdrawal I have to decide whether to use the same one or use the official one. My instincts from 8 years in Asia says that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. On face value, 200 pesos fee is only $5 and is the same fee we were paying for EON card withdrawals.

I'd be interested how other people fared who used the codes they found to do test withdrawals.
