This is the best topic I come close at PMT. How much is your net worth? This is the most crucial in the game of making money. It's doesn't matter how much you earn but what is important are the fruits of your hard-earned labor. It's the true picture of our financial well-being. I must admit, my investible fund is quite small. But the game begins now... A million pesos for a 35 years old guy that's how much I am worth. How about others?

at 26, i have crossed the million mark thrice.

I'm paying off my car this march.

and I am starting off with my amortization for a condo.

I got them from working and working and working.

I have not inherited a single property but my lolo, whom I have met once, told me that he's bound to give me some of his koprahan. I am not counting this.

when I was in grade 3, I had 5 thousand pesos in savings. I joined all contests, essay writing, short story, poetry, and all sorts of money making competitions including caponizing, grafting, budding, knot-tying, pyramid building, crab-race, sack race...basta may premyo sasalihan ko.

by the end of high school, I realized I was the only one with a passbook among my cousins. when by aunt had an operation, she barrowed my money and she died without ever paying it. whats the point? I may have earned more had I kept everything to myself. hahaha.

Todjikid, how must is your net investible funds or cash in banks or mutual funds? It seems that you are on a buying spree mode!

i invested 1.5 in TDs and MFs. I plan to get into stocks pero parang I really don't know how.

Then, I have plans of getting a franchise for pharmacy or open furniture manufacturing shop with my partner or a bar/resto in cubao expo.

Most of my buying spree came mainly from my salary and bonuses. I'd have another 10% increase this january...so okay naman.

its easy to invest in the stock market. Its as easy as opening a bank account. There
are many brokers (both traditional and on-line) who will be very happy to open an
account for you......BUT

do your homework first. NEVER never never invest your hard-earned money on anything
(and that includes the stock market) that you don't understand. Also, NEVER NEVER NEVER
invest in the stock market if you are not PREPARED to lose 100% of your investment.

If you do your homework and you are prepared to lose, then by all means invest in the
stock market. It can be very rewarding and I am talking from personal experience.

Personally, I believe that the PSE will still grow by leaps and bound until 2010. So that's
3 years worth of buying and selling opportunity for those folks who have taken the
plunge. If you have no stomach for that nor the time or inclination, just invest it in
a nice T.D. in a bank somewhere or your preferred business venture.

Whatever you eventually decide on, invest it on something that you fully understand.

ask ko lang po kung pano-icompute ang net worth? assets minus liabilities, simple lang. Pero may hinuhulugan akong bahay worth 800K (dating 1M pero bayad ko na yung 200k). Kasama ba ang buong 800k sa computation? Pag kasi kasama, sobrang negative ang cash flow ko.

nweiz, eto po ang list ko, ewan ko po kung tama ang compute;
assets
laptop worth 50k
psp worth 8k

sweldo worth 20k
pautang business 63k (pag nagbayad lahat)
kooperatiba 10k

liabilities
utang sa bahay 800k
salary loan 200k
renta sa bahay 3k monthly (di pa kasi tapos yung bahay kaya rent ako at the same time)
kuryente 150 pesos

at pang-araw-araw na gastos...

so magkano po ba ang networth ko?
negative kasi compute ko eh...

17 years old... 100k BPI ALFM MUTUAL FUND w/ FREE 200k LIFE INSURANCE, 100k BPI EQUITY FUNDS at dadagdagan ko pa para mas lumaki... Have no plans of withdrawing, have some bank accounts in Philippines, foreign bank accounts and a HYIP account sa internet (HYIP is dangerous... pero at least nakuha ko na aking capital), saving some more living below my means for a while and still seeking more investments... I take the opportunity na bata pa lang ako... Sana before I die I can reach the 1 Billion Peso mark.. Bigay lang po sa akin ito ng parents ko ha? Hindi pa kasi ako nagtatrabaho eh.. Inipon ko lang po lahat magmula pa noong bata pa ako at lumaki... I don't know my net worth but those are all that I have na inipon ko from allowances, gifts, etc...

If possible sana, somday, kahit wala akong ginagawa, I still earn and earn a lot of money through my businesses and investments enough to sustain my family later in life and other leisure things like cars... Still taking up nursing and will proceed to medicine and will specialize in the heart.

22? Wow! No kidding? You must have had one helluva job to be a millionaire, or started very very early. I just passed the board exam at age 22... so that was time zero for me... Time zero = 0 cash also (borrowed money to pay the rent on my first month at work)

My net worth right now is just around Php 800K now... crossing fingers to reach the million in the next 5 years

Never impossible to achieve that much at a young age... Anong job naman kaya ito? O baka naman nakapaginvest siya that returned him big amounts of cash... Or mana? hmmm...

Sana ma abot ko rin yan at young age by not relying on my parents alone... Aggressive nga ako ngayon sa pag iinvest ko dahil gusto kong maabot yan at a young age ASAP.
