Re: Help on IMPORT business

Hello everyone!

Do I need a team of professionals or should I try to do it by myself muna?  Also, I don't have any experience in this business whatsoever.

Please help.  Thanks!

Tama po yong sinabi ni homebasedjob, konting ingat sa mga intsik, ang sample na pinapadala nila, you cannot guarantee na yon ang matatanggap mo, we even experience na every pallets of raw materials may isisingit sila na bad products, ganon sila, and sometimes really ang sama talaga ng matatanggap mo. Konting ingat lang, I am working now in Saudi Arabia and I am purchasing raw materials around the world like USA, GERMANY, AUTRIA, SPAIN, BRAZIL, AUSTRALIA, FRANCE ETC. at ang pinakamarami nga ay sa China kasi mura ang offer. But in china mostly CIF ang ibinibigay nila. Importer ang labas mo.

The Tariff heading is the customs code for the item that you want to import. The customs broker has a thick book that lists everything commodity and its corresponding tariff. By the way, tariff is another word for customs duty or import tax. Whenever you import anything, a corresponding customs duty/tariff/tax is supposed to be paid to the government.

It's not very easy but YES, it's possible.

But first, you will need to get yourself a registered business.

If you have a valid sales contract from a reliable client, it can be done. I've also been through that... nope-- my clients have been through that.

Regards,

Hi;
I am happy I came across in this forum. I am also on the process of negotiating my supplier for china on environmental friendly products for households like water purifier and shower purifier and filter. I know this will be a hit in my place kasi nga kunti pa lang mga line of products na katulad nito.
The supplier now has ask my confirmation on my order and since this will be my first time to inport products for china to the philippines I really have no idea what to do firt. As I was doing my research i understand a little of this thing. My question now is that Do i really have to hire a customs broker for my shipment since it is not really a big cargo just 7 boxes of which weighs 112.79kg.
If the FOB and the waybill  and all the descriptions on the items were ok so would all this be enough?

I am an OFW and wanted to have this business as start. I am planning to stay for good in the Philippines.

Could somebody help me on this?

I would gladly appreciate feedbacks from you guys.
Thank you

If we want to import goods na maramihan, what are the requirements needed? Kelangan b registered na company ka? Tpos ilang % ang ang taxable let say electronic components ang iniimport mu?

Thank you
Posted on: Oct 09, 2010, 01:35 PM

baka may mairefer kayong supplier direct from manufacturing doon, paki pm po sakin

Posted on: Feb 21, 2009, 11:05 AM

It been a while since I last post/lurk in PMT. I was searching in google on how to import products from China to Philippines and it lead me here.

I'm planning to import solar panels for personnal use from china. A friend of mine told me that I have to pay for the whole container even if I just use a fraction of it. Is this true? Can someone give me an estimate on the cost of shipping, tax and other expenses at least percentage of the material cost.

Also the supply might come from two different suppliers, one for the panel and one for the batteries. Will I be charge twice for the shipping? I still do not have a supplier and still searching in china, do you recommend that I get supplier in the same province?

Thanks

Hello po, pasingit lang po sandali.
I just have two questions about tax on import.
Let's say I plan to buy n sell gold bars/coins.
Me nabasa ako about $10k or more taxable, then below that no need to declare?
1) Any idea how much tax do I pay for precious metals (Gold) if above $10k value?
2) Do I need to declare if less than $10k?  Any tax for that?

hello everyone! :)

i'm actually looking for possible milk (evaporated milk, condensed milk, skim milk powder, milk powders, etc.) suppliers for our plan to import milk products for our family business. medyo alangan ako na kumuha ng gatas from China due to the melamine scare and low quality so i'm currently looking at possible suppliers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. i'm also thinking of looking at suppliers from Australia and New Zealand kaya lang siguradong mahal ang kuha ng mga produkto doon pero sigurado naman sa very good quality.

since this is an import-related thread, i'm wondering as to how my family and i are going to do it. we've been getting imported milk products for our bakery supplies business pero through traders here in Manila so iniisip namin na baka dumeretso na kami sa foreign suppliers at kami ay maging traders na din dito, with me even thinking na magkaroon kami ng sariling brand ng gatas dito by telling our foreign counterpart to put our own label on the milk products. how can we ask for sample products from the suppliers and quotes from forwarders?

thank you so much in advance! God bless all of us and our loved ones more and more!
