Hello. I'm a proud member of ebay.ph community and just joined here because it seems to be that PayPal withdrawal discussion is hotter here in PinoyMoneyTalk forum.

I'm welcome to the forum.  :welcome:

Have anybody here tried using XOOM to withdraw money from PayPal? Because I'm not sure if XOOM will allow PHILIPPINES to PHILIPPINES transfer, especially if the transaction is done by the same IP address.

P.S.
FutureGizmo, you said XOOM is a confirmed way na pede mag-withdraw. Are you sure with that? Where did you get the confirmation?  :thankyou:

Anyways, meron akong nameet from another country na ginagamit nya ang Xoom account nya to send money to his own bank account. I assume na pwede din dito sa Pilipinas yung ganun. Though I think it's best kung magtatanong tayo sa Xoom.

Yagami Raito + Kira pala. Hehe

Biske, baka India yung sinasabi mo. It's confirmed India to India transaction pwede kapag PayPal to XOOM.

I dunno if PHILIPPINES to PHILIPPINES PayPal to Xoom transaction is allowed.

Atsaka pano mo nakilala si Yagami Raito?

PS: iniisip ko kung sino si Biske. Biske + HxH ba?

PS: Syempre~ Ahehe. L fan ako. And yep, Biske of HxH. :D Fan ako ng violent women.

Okay, PayPal just marked my withdrawal as "Completed" (how come I didn't get a notification mail for that?). Let's see how long it'll take for the funds to reach my bank account.

Okay peeps, I just caught wind that the EPCI Visa Electron debit card could also accept funds through PayPal. According to a post by laibcoms in the eBay forum, a company he/she is working for already got their funds through their EPCI Visa Electron.

If I don't get my UnionBank test withdrawal well within 3 weeks, I'll apply for an EPCI Visa electron debit. To be eligible for the card, you will need to have an EPCI account. You can see the details of the application here. How much is needed to open an account with them? php3000?

Thing is, because of the EPCI-BDO merger, I'm not sure if they still offer the card. Can anybody call them and confirm? I don't have their number~

YOU CANNOT SEND YOUR PAYPAL FUNDS TO YOURSELF THROUGH XOOM!

Here's a transcript of my email relay with them earlier:

-----------------------------------------------------
Hi, I had just emailed you earlier about a query.

Here was my question:

As you may very well know, PayPal has activated their Receiving services here in the Philippines. What I would like to ask is if I am allowed to send my PayPal funds to myself through Xoom. Someone told me his transaction got canceled when he tried this. I would appreciate being enlightened about said matter.

Here was your response:

Thank you for contacting Xoom Customer Support. Please be advised that recipient and sender can not be from the same country in The Philippines as intra country transfer is not allowed.

HOWEVER, an acquaintance has also emailed you the same inquiry and you told him this:

Please be informed you can transfer funds from your verified Paypal account in The Philippines. You can also choose the disbursement option Bank Deposit, Delivery or Pick-up as per your convenience. Do keep in mind the beneficiary name should also be your name. Rest assured you can visit our web-site and initiate a transfer.

Could you possibly clarify which between your replies is the right one? Could we or could we not send our PayPal funds to ourselves through Xoom?

Thank you very much.

----------------------------

Xoom's response:

when we say you can use your verified Paypal account in the Philippines we are assuming that you are making an international transfer. That means you are sending your funds to another country from the Philippines not within the Philippines. That is why the second email mention the word that intra-country transfers are not allowed. As long as you are not transferring funds to yourself in within the same country then you are fine. Our service is for international transfer not domestic Philippines transfer.

to open an account for an EPCI Visa Electron debit card, one must have an existing account with them and you need Php3,000.00 na pang open, that's also their maintaining balance....matagal na itong EPCI Visa Electron ko sa kanila pero hinde ko pa nagamit for paying online transaction... sinubukan ko minsan but i still need to contact my branch of account, nagagamit ko na lang para pang shopping and to withdraw/transfer funds anytime. saka alam ko nito may limit na php5000.00 per transaction ata

Problem lang is gano katagal.

yeah, yan ang naalala ko nung sinabi nung teller sa bank sa EPCI, pwede mo gamitin siguro for online payment or funding pero you need to contact the  branch of account first kase may pin para sa 3rd party for online transactions. may limit na 5000.00php sa transaction pero hinde po sa withdrawal. i tried to register it for my paypal account kaso ayaw or maybe i don't know how to input those numbers correctly   :hihi:

For those of you who are using unionbank eon, hindi magrereflect yung expanded use number sa inyong online statement of account. You have to call customer service to get it. Ito yung advisory nila sa kanilang website:

Expanded Use Enrollment

When you register your UnionBank Visa card, PayPal will charge you the equivalent of US$ 1.95 for expanded use. Pay Pal will credit you back the US$ 1.95 amount on your first PayPal transaction. For EON and eWallet cards, your account must have the equivalent of US$ 1.95 in pesos in order for the expanded use transaction to go through when you first enroll your card.
You will then be issued a 4-digit Expanded Use Number. But, please allow 5 days for the Expanded Use Number to reflect on your statement.
For UnionBank Visa Credit Cards, you can find it on your next monthly paper statement or by viewing your Visa Transaction History online. [View Sample.]
For EON Visa Electron and eWallet Card holders, please contact the UnionBank Customer Service Call Center at 84-186 and ask the customer service agent to provide you with the 4-digit PayPal expanded use code.
Once you have this number, go back to the My Account Overview section of the PayPal web site and click on "Finish Expanded Use Enrollment" to enter the 4-digit number.[View Sample.]
Upon entering your Expanded Use code, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your credit card has been verified.
Congratulations! Your PayPal account is now verified for Expanded Use. For more details on linking your UnionBank Card with PayPal you can visit UnionBank's Customer Service page, contact the Call Center hotline at 84-186 or visit the PayPal help site. We hope you enjoy and take advantage of borderless shopping with UnionBank's VISA Cards!

Yung sa akin, nakuha ko naman agad.  :D

You CANNOT add funds to your PayPal account if you don't have an attached US bank account. But you don't have to worry because if you purchase something online, it would be automatically charged to your CC :)

hi just got my expanded use no. ng EON, and have my PP verified. hmm.. kaya lang i don't know like how long nga ba kaya ma receive mo sa EON account mo ung na withdraw mo from PP?

considering that there is now EPCI Visa Electron, sounds good... another option for PP :D hmm.. kaya nga lang i've to apply for one, like how long ba will you receive the card after applying for it? is there also an expanded use no. for that? or kelangan pa ba kasi verified na rin ako because of the EON account.

From the eBay forums uli, regarding PayPal Philippines to Xoom withdrawal:

Quote
Again I contacted XOOM to clear this intra-country transfer issues.

First email:
Please be informed the sender and the beneficiary name can be in Philippines.

I replied again asking what type of intra-country transfers are not allowed. Here is the reply:
Please note that you can make intra-country transfer but you must choose the verified paypal account as a payment methods and the Pick up or deposit or Delivery as a disbursement method.

I think you can really transfer your PayPal funds through Xoom to yourself. Maybe XOOM changed some of their rules and regulations and some of their customer service representatives are not well-informed.

May nakapag-try na ba sa inyo? Tingnan niyo nga kung pwede.
